I attended a Sonic Youth/Public Enemy shared bill many, many years ago. The concert itself was mostly without incident but there was a good deal of violence outside of the show.

I've been a fan for a long time as well. I'm mainly a fan of Coach K but love the teams. I don't think this was a case of soft/no heart. I think of Duke teams as overachievers. These guys were no different but just did not have the talent level to run with some of the teams in this tournament. Coach K gets more out of kids than, arguably, any other coach in college basketball. I think many of the people that you mentioned would flounder on most college teams.

Agreed...further, I'm a huge Wilco fan. I have an autographed print from the Being There days. If it became more valuable to be monetarily than emotionally, I'd sell it in a heartbeat. I understand that people standing around after a Wilco show solely for autographs is a bit douchey....however, supply and demand.

New tvs have significantly better pictures than your 17 year old Trinitron. Not sure where you are shopping.

Mountain Goats DBT Felice Brothers Marah New Dexateens hasn't gotten enough spins yet. Also purchased the Jason Collett which is just so-so. I need to do some shopping based on some of these lists. Constantines and Sun Kil Moon are most definitely on my horizon.

I love Clem Snide but was really disappointed with the bulk of Eef's solo album. That said, looking forward to this.

Wow. Amazing that I completely forgot that game existed. I loved that damn game and I was never a big video game guy.

The REM bashing that has gone on for the last several albums is a bit over the top for me. I think Up is a pretty good album. Reveal and Around the Sun are nowhere near as offensive as people make them out to be. They have some very nice songs on them and they have songs that missed the mark a bit. It's become somewhat fashionable to bash them. Michael Stipe's personality may feed some of that. Either way, they are probably the most solid band album to album as any band in history. Their live shows have always been tremendous. Let's see how this goes. oh, and I don't want this
