  1. maybe ears as well. Stones were untouchable during this period. If only they would have stopped.
  2. Might I recommend "All the Right Reasons" by the Jayhawks? I was just discussing this topic with friends that are getting married in June.
  3. 1/9/00 (going on memory here)....last show at Lounge Ax
  4. They have always been great live.... at least as long as when I first saw them circa Document tour. Oh, and Michael has always been a bit pretentious but he's damn entertaining.

    SNL!

I'd have worried about you if you did get it. It was pretty indicative of 90% of the show. I just have to think that they could do a better job. I like many of the players on the show and there is some talent there. With what "The Daily Show" and "Colbert Report" are doing night in and night out, SNL really can't come up with better material for 75 minutes a week? Jules - I'm with you on most of the Weekend Report. It is generally very good.... maybe they need to extend it further? Even if it's just Amy Poehler smiling for 10 minutes. I'd rather watch that.

    SNL!

I believe it was Amy Adams... I don't even know who she is. I thought the show was absolutely horrendous minus a skit or two. I think they blew their load on the Tina Fey hosted episode.

    SNL!

Totally agreed. I had only heard snippets but have seen quite a bit of press on these guys. I didn't care for it at all. It's like they were trying to be a preppy, less musical version of Arcade Fire.
  8. I bought it on iTunes and there isn't a digital booklet. The sound is great and it's tough to beat the number of songs for $15.99. I always have a tough time buying a reissue of something that I already have but this was pretty worthwhile.
  9. Picked this up late last night. It's surpisingly good. I'm a big fan of much of the extras on this one. The Fleetwood Mac cover is a nice touch as well.
  10. Again. This is probably one of the best albums I have bought in the last couple of years.
  11. I'm not sure if it's possible. Keep trying.
  12. I have owned nothing but Subaru for the last 10 years or so. I find that they are a much better bargain for the money. All wheel drive is another big perk. Safety, reliability and price. Currently, 2005 Subaru Legacy sedan.
  13. Anybody should have been able to figure that one out.
  14. I like all of their albums for the most part. Rainy Day Music has some 'adult contemporary' moments but overall nice enough album. I agree with your top 3 but would probably but Smile as #4.
  15. Admin/Moderators - Can we please pin this thread?
  16. Well sure....wouldn't you?
  17. "why does alex look so pissed all the time" "why does alex look so pissed all the time" "why does alex look so pissed all the time" "why does alex look so pissed all the time"
  18. Wow, they sold out the Chicago Theatre in pretty short order.
  19. I generally describe them as where the sea meets the sky. That, or I go with the mix cd idea.
  20. Very positive review from Spin on the new album: Spin
  21. I loved "Hardwire Healing".... These guys are a great rock band. Great rock sound without being derivative.
