Tweedy's participation in Golden Smog
H.Stone replied to southern hotel foxtrot's topic in Just A Fan
He wasn't on the first album (On Golden Smog) or the last (Blood On The Slacks), was on a few tracks of Another Fine Day, was heavily involved in Down By The Old Mainstream and Weird Tales. Looking at my track lists I think these are all the Tweedy tracks.... DBTOM: Pecan Pie Walked Where He Walked She Don't Have To See You Radio King Weird Tales Lost Love I Can't Keep From Talking Please Tell My Brother DOn't know about Another Fine Day, though. -

Thanks for another hate-filled, elitist post.

Damn on the loogies in the hair. My brother-in-law is tour manager for Helmet right now (yep, they still tour...) so my hubby went to see them near Milwaukee this fall. They still offer up a constant wall of sound. -
Yeah, it was at the Vic this Jan. Funny story. Sad, too.

The only time I've been genuinely frightened at a show (and my experience is limited) was at a Metallica/Danzig show in the early 90s. That "mosh pit" was not for pussies--or 5'5 girls who didn't want their ankles broken. There was a moment of sheer terror before I was able to escape. I'm certain there are much scarier places to be, but it didn't feel that way at the time. I bet WASP shows were scary. A-man? Any real headless children? -
Wow... amazing. The band pic is great too, but more NZ, please!

Nice! He's coming to Madison on Thursday... It's a bit of a hike for a weeknight, but now I'm tempted.

And a nice add at that! -
Is he holding his own right hand to keep from punching you in the face? If that video hadn't been tagged, I wouldn't have known it was Ryan Adams. I have a sampling of his songs from a fellow VCer but have yet to listen to any of them, have never seen him, etc. So watching it without any "baggage," I thought it was just a guy being goofy and drunk. :shrug

Thanks, Froggie. Sounds great.

Woo hoo!! Way to go, Kate!

Wow. My husband had told me about that video, but I'd never seen it before. Rough.

Yeah, I should figure out how many times across my parents' pond the swim would be--I could practice there rather than trying to get to a pool. At least then the girls can come with me and play on the beach while I swim. Hmmmm.... You know what? Most people probably speed walk close to the pace I "run" (JOG lol), so you totally can do it! I figure if I do this whole thing, I'm not going for speed but completion.

I occasionally see new HTH and TTGG at stores, but I rarely see the others. I wish Gary was coming through Milwaukee--there are plenty of venues he could pull off. I also saw he canceled his show at The Fillmore.
