Night One Solid Sound 2015 - Wilco stream recording link

Sounds great! Thanks for posting. -
Yes indeed, Donna! But the beef jerky is worth the trip, too!!

I'd recommend getting in line very very early for Nels Cline and Wisdom Norton's Stained Radiance show!! I saw this show in Chicago a few months ago in which Glenn Kotche also performed and it was Incredible. Nels Cline and Wisdom Norton's combination of superb avant garde jazz guitar and brilliant impromptu painting, albeit temporary, makes every performance seem totally unique! (Although I've only seen this show once). See this show!!! I'm hoping for an acoustic Richard Thompson solo performance!

Looking forward to the VC 'oasis' table once again! Was great to take a break from the galleries and courtyard shows to have a welcoming VC table outside on the deck. It was great to see some familiar faces and meet additional VC'rs. Last time it was ice cream, beef jerky and Lagunitas' Wilco Tango Foxtrot!

I'm hoping that it'll be available as a download as well. I'll find the time to watch the stream if that'll be the only option. I'm going to buy it either way, too. It will be nice to check it out a few times even if it's only up until June 25th. Fingers crossed it'll be available at the merch booth.

Shortest Distance/Longest distance for a Wilco/Jeff show?
Jcamp replied to remphish1's topic in Just A Fan
Shortest: a couple of miles to the Vic or the Riviera. Longest: 2150 miles to the Fillmore, San Francisco Way to go Paris, France!! That must be an amazing story... My likelihood for an International Wilco show travel destinations are Ottawa, Ont or maybe Vancouver, BC. And both locales are great!! . -
I'll be heading to the Vic soon. I was thinking of making one of my requests TWEEDY's 'Everyone Hides".

Nice interview, I hadn't found the time to listen to it before. Thanks for sharing!

TWEEDY — 3/7/15, Chicago, IL (Vic Theatre [Night 2])
Jcamp replied to bböp's topic in After The Show
The Minus 5 set was soo much fun and they sounded great. Fantastic!! TWEEDY has come a long way. They were really good last year in Milwaukee, tonight they played on a completely different level. Every aspect was stellar! Jeff's solo set was absolutely great, as usual. So many great moments tonight. Scott McCaughey's accompaniment on California Stars brought a lot of smiles onstage by the time the show closed out. Was a really great show, I wish I could tag along for more of this tour! -
Really looking forward to seeing this! Hope that there is at least a limited-run chance to see this on a big screen...

The New Basement Tapes would be good fit for Solid Sound.

The TWEEDY sound has evolved and leveled out with back-up singers since the Pabst Theater. This album sounds better with each listen. Great songs through and through. I like everything about this project lately. It is especially fun that the seemingly 'supplemental hair' T-shirt matches the CD back photo all the way to the Casio wristwatch. Good times..

Reports on Twitter of a closing number: Don't Go Back to Rockville Tweedy's twitter account also promoted followers to go to the show - hadn't seen them do something like that before. How was the show? The show was simply fantastic. Soo much fun .... The encore was: Ted Fucking Williams ( !!! ) Don't Go Back to Rockville

Such a great song! I know!! I love it now. Many thanks to Donna for putting me on course ;] Really looking forward to this!! ;]

I'm going to bring the Jeff Tweedy San Francisco free Fillmore poster along, hoping Scott will sign it. Scott was a great opener for those shows.

Let me know if they play Superman again. Have fun Thanks! Will do! I'll be shouting for Ted Fucking Williams if it hasn't been played by the encore. :]

Baseball Project tonight at the Abbey Pub.

An additional bit about the Pabst Theater is about the restrooms ( which were totally fine ). Men's line had a good dozen in line while there was no line for Women. Things overheard were like, " fuckin unreal!" and "awesome!". ... Sound and Logistics, thumb's up Pabst Theater.

The sound was really good for both The Handsome Family and TWEEDY. The Pabst Theater is really nice and ornate. And not many theaters still have ushers to seat everybody. The new material sounds really good live and the band seemed to play more like a well-oiled machine rather than a band playing their 7th gig. I think 1/2 JT Band 1/2 JT Solo is a pretty cool outing. 1 of 2 of my requests was played. Hesitating Beauty sounded great but didn't get Dreamer in My Dreams for the closer w/o PA. The ending of the "w/o PA" Misunderstood was fun. Jeff stopped singing and playing guitar and was jus
