caught the late show last night here in Minneapolis... AMAZING... so so amazing finally getting to see him do his own thing after all these years was well worth the wait apparently they didn't play a single song from the first set, which is awesome. sounded like there were a couple folks who went to both. i don't think my face could have endured 2 full sets of face melting tho. the last 2-3 songs (prior to the lil encore ditty) were just unreal

yeah it is... really great raw production on it too bummed i had to miss them opening for Tapes n' Tapes here last month
-
it's one of those rare albums i can throw on no matter what my mood or time of day and enjoy it the same
-
one of my fave bands of the 00's, for sure Know By Heart might even be a top 5 of the 00's for me too. the last record redeemed themselves a lot after the somewhat disappointing Promise of Love. feel pretty blessed i got to see them live twice before they went on hiatus
-
his EP from '06 was in my top 5-10 on the year, this sounds great so far too!
-
yeah, that's part of why i found his sermon so amusing i think
-
yeah, in the interest of Obama, certainly not a fan of this guy popping up now, but still, his delivery, energy, and content, dude seriously did crack my shit up

man this Reverend Pfleger guy is a RIOT... i'd go to church every day of the week if my Pastor was that damn funny sign this man up for Last Comic Standing, he's in the wrong profession
-
hmm... how rare is rare? he did 2 big US tours the last 2 years and was through Minneapolis on both of them

my mom taught me not to hit women, so no

i'd like to see your list...

she scored an opening slot on the Hayden tour, awesome
-
i should note that i wasn't really much a fan of hers until the last one, so that's probably part of it just really dug the storyline and some of those songs stuck in my head for days
-
got a promo of it a few weeks ago, it is pretty sweet. her last one is probably still my favorite of hers honestly, god i love that album
-
would LOVE to hit this up Jackson Hole, WY might be the coolest place in the continental US
-
Weezer's always had pretty awful lyrics for the most part
-
def one of the better songs on the record, but i'd say that after the intro and especially towards the very end it's a bit more butt rock/80's power ballad than it is truly "beautiful", but probably the closest candidate on the album
-
i'll second that :w00t god i'd love to see that free Chicago show too, i hate that Pritzker shows have to be on weekdays

true... true... -
most of the criticism i've seen/read/heard isn't really criticism as much as it is stating that the album is great, just not their best work. i also just miss some of the fun of the first 3 records... this album only has a couple songs that i'd truly consider really fun songs.

it's a good album, much better than expected for sure, but def not top 10 on the year for me anymore (top 15-20 tho still) solid 7-7.5/10 as far as actresses turned musician albums go: Jenny Lewis > Zooey >>>> Minnie Driver >>>>>>>> Scarlett -
Troublemaker that low?
