I love "Hiding Out" from White City. Wasn't Pete's version of "Save It For Later" also played during this performance?
-
I saw them twice last spring/summer, and they were excellent. Pete is on fire. One cannot help but see him as the Elder Statesman of Rock. I want to see them again for a final farewell, but I am hesitating simply because of the set list. They are playing similar songs to what I saw on the first leg. They are playing "The Rock" off Quad and "PIctures of Lily" has received some time. I am just not sure I want to drop the $. If you have not seen them recently, you should see them while you can.

Damn. I hope he gets better soon. I am concerned about this final leg. The ticket sales have not been that strong. I have seen level 300 seats available on Groupon for the Milwaukee and Chicago shows. I went twice on the first half, and though they were great shows, I am hesitant to hitting one more if they don't change up the set list. Regardless, get better, Roger.

Greatly enjoying this.

I am doing a little surfing on the web as I listen to the stream on WFUV, and I came across the review of today's The Who show in Hyde Park. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/live-music-reviews/11699900/The-Who-British-Summer-Time-Festival-Hyde-Park-review-The-new-Who-can-still-thrill-five-decades-on.html

I will take notes - unless my head explodes.

Great show last night in Chicago. Eddie Vedder comes out and plays "The Real Me" with the band.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeRe8lrGAx4 I will be going to the Pete-Vedder benefit show tonight. I fully expect my head to explode if they play "Sheraton Gibson."
-
I hope he joins them the night before - that is when I have my tickets. I am getting fired up for the tour, and I am excited that "A Quick One" and "Slip Kid" have made it into set lists. Add "Naked Eye" to the mix, and I will rest in peace.

Feed of Man - this deserves to be played more often. Shouldn't Be Ashamed You are My Face

I love it. I wish more artists would take a stand. Remember the artist boycott of Sun City? It certainly helped to raise awareness about apartheid. I wish the NCAA would show some balls, too.
-
In addition, Wilco would also play the intro to "We Don't Get Fooled Again" as a seque intto Outtasite (Outta Mind) circa 2000. I know I have it on the Rocking The River recording. I, for one, would be all over a colloboration.

I know. This would be a real treat to hear. I add those same sentiments in my "dedication" request. Fingers crossed!- 216 replies

Persistence finally paid off!

Great show...and plus they played my request of "Feed of Man." The song clearly rocks. I hope it makes more future appearances.

Fab Faux playing The White Album

I got a single in the sixth row, too. I will be the one who will be spending the next two months requesting "Feed the Man."

Chicago Art Institute is terrific and walkable from the Taste area. There is also the Field Museum, too. Skip the Ripley's Believe it or Not at Navy Pier.

Go to Rossi's Liquors. It is on 412 State St. Greatest dive bar in the Loop. I suggest a Malort and an Anti-Hero to wash it down. Then stumble down to the Billy Goat.

Thanks for the heads up. I picked up two for the Friday show.

Thanks for sharing! For a song that they have not dusted off since 2001, they did an awesome job. This is one that they should put back in the rotation. Again...thanks.

I am so fired up about Feed of Man. Way too long for them not to bust it out. I can only hope there is audio of it since my recordings ("Rock the River" and Grant Park gig) are getting up there in age. Sigh.

I have been requesting this one for two years. When they used to play it during the Mermaid Ave II tour, it always rocked. Here is hoping that someday it will see the light!
