  1. This is the page where the "Dave confirm" allegedly takes place: http://www.dead.net/store/daves-picks/daves-picks-volume-26-albuquerque-civic-auditorium-nm-111771 Allegedly, David Lemieux is Bolo24. Scroll down.
  2. Was reading on Reddit that the username on dead.net that people think is Dave pretty much confirmed the leak. 6 shows total. 3 from 73 and 3 from 74.
  3. Watched the entirety of "Evil Genius" on Netflix over the weekend. The crime that's investigated still doesn't make sense to me. Anyone else see this? I think it's fairly new. Creepy weird stuff.
  4. And... Regarding Guillermo Del Toro... The Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth are both A+ movies.
  5. Wow, that's some dedication. I couldn't make it 10 minutes. Max Gail reminds me of Chevy Chase.
  6. This is great news. I just saw Dweezil live for the first time last Sunday. (I don't count the 10 minutes I caught at Summerfest in Milwaukee years ago). I was blown away.
  7. For me, part of the answer depends on whether or not Iran was honoring the agreement. I don't have that information, and Netanyahu probably doesn't either. If it was a sham, then going back to sanctions might be our only good option, though I've read reports that Boeing will be losing $20 billion. I would imagine that that lost revenue will mean lost jobs. But regardless of that, I definitely think that we've just severely alienated our key allies, and I don't know how that will play out. I'm trying to think of all the "ifs" that would have to be true for this to be a good decision. IF I
  8. Just watched the Michelle Wolf WHCD monologue... Not sure what all the hubbub is about. To me, her speech was nothing (as far as being incendiary) compared the one Steven Colbert gave in '06. And his speech came and left without much ado.
  9. Should be able to get it uploaded to dropbox tonight. It will be in iTunes format.
  10. For the attendees of the Alpine Valley Shows that are still looking for camping locations - I just located a private campground (Bark River campgrounds) that has shuttle service to/from Alpine. That was a clincher for me. It's about 25 miles NW from Alpine. Looks like I'm only going to the Saturday show... If anyone wants lawn tickets to the Friday night show, on the cheap, I have 2 for sale.
  11. The songs he was writing/performing in Europe - seemingly each one with a city's name in the title... Man... At least at the end of his career, he could hang his hat on the Texas Tornados. I recall the album SDQ '98 being good. It was one of his last ones.
  12. Thanks for the rec. Just added it to my watchlist.
  13. Began watching a documentary on Doug Sahm last night (it's available on Amazon Prime) Early on, there's a pic of him on stage with Garcia, (it's also in the trailer above) and on his wikipedia page it says that the Dead employed him as a session musician. Anyone know which song(s)/album he appeared on? Edit - found an article with a link to a show from Thanksgiving weekend 1972, in which Garcia and Lesh played in an impromptu band with Sahm in Austin TX. https://aquariumdrunkard.com/2013/11/27/happy-thanksgiving-doug-sahm-and-friends-austin-tx-1972/ Actually, that whole show is on
  14. If there's a 1% chance that Melania thinks it's true...
  15. Pretty sure I read it in Legs McNeil's "Please Kill Me - The Uncensored Oral History of Punk" Fascinating book.
  16. I'm going to venture to guess that Jerry never got into asking someone to take a dump on a glass plate held above his face...
  17. The latest Dave's Pick is up for Ala Carte sale now: http://www.dead.net/store/music/new-releases/daves-picks-volume-26 As always, Dave does a good job of hyping it up in the youtube vid on the linked page. 11/17/71 Albuquerque.
  18. We just cut out comcast cable last month, and are getting all of our TV through Apple TV's box. We're currently using Sling, but I'm not that impressed with it. Have been looking to switch to Hulu Live.
  19. I'm always impressed with how successful their tours are. But having said that, my older sister, an entrenched Bono-apologist, did not have kind things to say about the state of his voice at the Joshua Tree show she went to last year. He sounded fine when I saw them a couple years ago.
