I was watching the Samantha Bee show last night and I had to turn it off. Previously, finding humor in poking holes into the Right was worth my while. Post-Election, it's just not funny anymore. It doesn't lift my spirits.

Definitely forgot. I would have said that Jesse ran as an independent. 3rd parties should definitely be viable. There's got to be something that would get the other 50% out to vote.

If a party gets 5%, they get federal campaign funding. Since Perot was not affiliated with a party, it doesn't apply.

Saw the White Stripes at the 400 Bar in Mpls in July 2001. Saw the Strokes at the Entry in Mpls in Oct 2001. Saw the Black Keys open for Beck in St. Paul in June 2003, and then saw them again in Amsterdam (I think it was the Melkweg?) in November that year.

Quit saying "majority of american voters" Both candidates got about 25% from American Voters. Majority of votes? Yes. Majority of voters? No. Half the voters did not vote.

Election Day really needs to be a national holiday.

You know, I've been thinking the same thing over the past couple days. I thought I really need to get stronger, work out harder, get ready to take a beating in case I witness some of this outrageous stuff. I'm not going to stand by, but I'm definitely soft right now.

yeah... I thought I was able to get over it and just get on with life yesterday. But waking up today was hard. My wife and I even got in a fight last night over how we're responding to this.

So, just remember. Billy Bush got fired for standing next to the guy who said "Grab them by the pussy." The guy who said it got promoted to President. Feels like one of the season finales of The Wire.

The good news is that Mother Nature isn't racist, nor sexist, though she tends to have it out for the poor folks. So, at least she and Donald are on the same page as far as that goes.

If I had to boil my fears down to one issue, it's that I fear that this election result is the equivalent of upping the ante in our War against Mother Earth. And, she'll win. There's no question about that. The fuse on this ticking bomb just got a lot shorter. Trump thinks Global Warming is a hoax, and he's going to appoint a fossil fuel stooge to his cabinet. It's going to set us back decades.

Well, I think it's as good as over.

Was driving in Monaco several years ago. A cop was directing traffic. I wanted to go straight - he wanted me to turn left. He got in front of my car and shouted ALLEZ while pointing left. I fumbled with my poor French. ALLEZ!!!!!!!!! he shouted. Left I went! Later that same day I think we took a wrong turn and were driving in a pedestrian-only zone. Oops. Quickly got out of there... Worst thing that ever happened while driving - New Year's Eve day - was driving north towards Minneapolis. Snow Storm started. An out-of-stater was driving very very slowly, and I had to change lanes to avoid the

Man - downtown Chicago is chaos. The trains were packed to the gills with Cubbies - mostly teenagers. Then, when my train got to Ogilvie, two packed trains let out at the exact same time, and all the Cubbie tourists just STOOD THERE after they got out of the train. Keep moving people! Almost had a panic attack. Was being pushed from all directions, and most people didn't know which way to go. Or they were waiting for the rest of their group to get out of the train. I'm trying to get to work! I saw that Grant Park was full already by 7:00am. I think the parade doesn't start until 10? Ay yi
