I've been combing this thread for recommendations. Purchased Lydia Loveless last night. I saw her a while back at a Bloodshot Records Anniversary show and thought she was great.

I picked up the Sunshine Daydream (Veneta OR, August 1972) concert last night - started listening on my commute to work this morning. Enjoying it so far.

Picked up some brats from the Paulina meat market. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Yeah, "can't stand" doesn't really apply to me. If I don't like a band, I just don't listen to them. I don't maintain a negative passion for them. But, "big" bands in that category, for me, would include: Kings of Leon REM Phish Dave Mathews Band The Band Bob Dylan, mostly (best lyricist ever, but the music itself it monotonous and boring to me).

I was a fan of Metallica until the Enter Sandman album came out. I lost interest completely at that point.

Was just listening to this over the weekend. Love "Done Gone Blue" - one of their best opening tracks. Hidalgo's voice + his guitar playing = SO GOOD.

I would think they're clearly the favorites in the West. I'm guessing a repeat of the Finals from last year.
