So I wondered about this because it did not ring true. Now after reading a recent article in MOJO it rings even less true to me. Just wondering what gives you that impression? From everything I have read, people like David Gilmour went out of their way to help Syd make this record (at least partly out of a sense of guilt). From all accounts it was all they could do to get a good take with him falling asleep in the middle of them (among other things). My impression is they did what they could to get a good record and capture his personality. They certainly did not make a ton of money off
