Yay, it's an oversize Iphone.

I kind of like that cover for some reason. Fits the name anyways.

That time of year again. I will give it a shot, what the heck. Did terrible last time I tried.

Tommy Stinson several years ago. Probably 25 people there. -
Just found out Jay Farrar and Ben Gibbard are playing lunchtime at KBCO tomorrow which is just up the street from where I work. Anybody know how approachable either of them are?

Ugh, yeah. Even "Lemon" makes me pucker up. I would love to see them do something more folksy although I liked No Line quite a bit.

Good luck with that, I'm still smarting from my attempt at Gravity's rainbow.

If a band falls in a forest and nobody is around... Actually I liked the scorpions. Spent many a night cranking "Love at first sting" back in high school. Saw them back in the 80's at one of those big monsters of rock shows and they sounded great.

Sporting the Bret Michaels headband/wig look. Not sure there has ever been a bigger tool in music than Axl. Maybe Fred Durst.

No offense taken.

Wow, when I hold my hand over the picture I think I can feel the warmth of the sound.

Speaking of boobs, I was just told that Dexter's girlfriend (from the show Dexter to be clear) gets a boob job between seasons 2 and 3. Is that True? Say it ain't so! I'm just finishing up season 2. She is adorable and does not need fakies.

Still have not quite located this one yet. NP:

I saw him open for Pearl Jam once and he blew people away. Played Voodoo Chile on the same kind of lap steel he used on Conan and it was just amazing. But the last album by him I listened to just bored me to tears.

Yep, Ben Harper although Robert Randolph would have been cool as well.

In my opinion, trying to do a consistent 1 hour per day is so much better than 1 marathon 8 hour session a week. If you can set aside a time and really focus, that's key. I am struggling with this myself even though I know it's the way to go. In a perfect world I would spend 1 hour a day: Spend 5 minutes just doing your favorite warm up. Chromatic runs on each string or whatever.15 minutes running running scales. 1 string up and down the neck. Shifting patterns. Running modes in different keys. Use a metronome and keep track of how fast you are able to do various scales cleanly.20 minutes p

This one just grew and grew on me. Probably my favorite of the year so far. Saw them on Jimmy Fallon last night.

Free Bird gets no respect anymore. I saw it as Conan not taking himself too seriously, inviting some cool people in to play a classic song. It was meant to bring an end to his show, not be some great musical moment. I liked that it seemed loose and off the cuff, not too rehearsed or dramatic with some big Hey Jude refrain or something. Actually he can play a little bit.

Well they were not making any money as piano movers.

Wow, it's no Super Bowl Shuffle. The Neville Brothers should have a pretty easy time topping that.
-
Oh yeah. I'm liking the big guitar sound.

I have always wondered about these as well. Plenty of people have played them. I remember Dave Grohl playing one in concert with the Foo Fighters and it sounded great. I have heard they are a bit heavy.

That was a great rendition of "Long may you run". Neil is just amazing. Some nice slide guitar work from Ben Harper on Free Bird. Pretty cool seeing Billy Gibbons and Beck up there as well.
