  1. It's encouraging to hear people's thoughts on the director which I did not know about. I have to say, that book haunted me for quite awhile after I read it. I'm going to bet there will be quite a few people leaving the theatre pretty shaken up. I can think of one scene in particular that's going to get talked about.
  2. I still have not pulled the trigger on Live Warpaint. That album has just not worked for me yet. I would like to hear "Torn and Frayed" however. I will probably still pick it up at some point because I always end up getting whatever the Crowes put out.
  3. I remember hearing about someone actually trying to cut a hole in the floor in the room above where Pitt and Jolie were staying with the new baby so they could get the first picture. When you figure it could be a million dollar picture or something, you are not going to get much restraint from some people.
  4. My Digitech delay pedal that I have been using since the 80's died at a gig yesterday. Since I have not shopped for a delay pedal in 2 decades, anybody have a recommendation? Quality is the first consideration (over cost) because there is nothing worse than a cheap sounding delay. Preferably a pedal and not a rack mount, maybe something that could store a few different settings.
  5. Oops, they mispelled raining! Just kidding, I'm sure you triple checked it before starting. Very cool and a good idea for a tattoo. I'm still tat-less because I can't think of anything I want enough yet.
  6. My neighbor from across the street said he heard I was a Wilco fan and brought a burned copy of the new album over. That has never happened. I think this leak has now reached critical mass.
  7. I figured you would say that and I can see your side as well. I guess the way I look at it is it's not advocating or excusing domestic violence in any way (that I can tell), and like any good art, it stirs people up. I don't enjoy watching people beat each other up but it's like the fight scenes in Kill Bill or something. Over the top. You don't get stabbed and hit with a frying pan in the face and get run over by a car and keep running around like the terminator. And she hit him first.
  8. Always hard to tell from a trailer but I have to agree with what everyone has said so far. We don't need them to fill in any holes in what event took place to cause what happened. And it did look like they eased up on the unsparing nature as far as the presence of ash everywhere and the darkness. On the plus side, it looks like a great cast. Michael Williams from "The Wire", it looked like Garret Dilahunt from "Deadwood" (amazing actor), of course Viggo.
  9. One of the most harrowing books I have ever read and judging by the trailer, the movie could be rough as well. Looks like "Omar" is getting some more work though! The Road trailer
  10. I thought the over the top nature was funny. I have to agree with you, she seemed to come out on top. It seems like she could have kicked his ass through the entire video and people would still be saying she is the "Victim" of the evil boyfriends abuse.
  11. That's from Kids are alright? Time for me to pull that movie out again because I don't even remember it, but that song sure brings back memories and sounds as good as I remember.
  12. 1. Jesus etc 2. Company in my back 3. Handshake drugs
  13. You gotta love B-sides. I remember having the 45 of "squeeze box" and we ended up listening to the B side of that way more, unless my memory is faulty it was a strange song called "Success Story".
  14. I remember that, it's still kind of awkward to watch.
  15. Now that is a great idea, have not pulled that one out in awhile.
  16. Just heard "I got ID" or "I got Shit", whichever you prefer. That might be my favorite PJ or at least in the top 5.

    Bull Black Nova

I think it might be my favorite song on the album, it's the one I most look forward to seeing live.
  18. Throw on some Boss and enjoy your day!
  19. Jimmie didn't really get his due because he is not really a lead player. He is an absolute master at rhythm guitar which tends to get overlooked. Kind of like Malcom Young rarely gets any love.
  20. I would have to agree with that. I saw him do third stone from the son live a few times, amazing watching him beat the hell out of his strat for 10 minutes and somehow stay in tune. Rose Hill Drive did the entire "Band of Gypsies" album on New Years eve a few years ago. Pulled it off surprisingly well.
