Finally got to listen to this without distractions, except for the infrequent train rumble. Opening and closing tracks rival their best work. Can't wait to listen to the vinyl with the Senn 650s. I may have to clean up after that.

Caught the show tonight. Nice mellow performance. They are both excellent on the acoustic guitars and really seemed to enjoy themselves. We talked to John after the show about the new album. He said it's almost done, it's "edgier" than the last two records, and Jeff was more focused (not an exact quote). Pat didn't discount the double album question. Just awesome seeing these guys in a living room setting.

Random speculation is highly encouraged.

The difference in quality over the CD is significant. You don't need great headphones to hear it. Room speakers will do.
