  1. i thought Garlin talked too much, personally. but still fun to see.
  2. totally got that same vibe! i haven't seen them in ages... i know they played Boston last year but i missed that show. I always dug the drummer's thing.
  3. i recall thinking that her band members were all rather tall. i also had a camera die on me before that show started which was a drag... but that's why i bring two. i will start bawling if he does any of the Purple Mountains material.
  4. not sure you saw my comment to yours, but it was to effect that you're obv talking about a Jay song

  7. last night was awesome. watched it in bed on my phone. perfect.
  8. that was my favorite part. also, Jeff dropping all the F bombs after someone said their young child likes the F bomb. Sue was aghast and Jeff said something to effect that that kid had to be the happiest kid alive right now.
  9. everyone knows that the Gene record is the best of the bunch.
  10. yeah that was fun. it took way longer for me to figure out how to stream it to my tv, only to have a tiny part of teh screen actually filled but the songs and banter were spot on. i love Emma's harmonies on his songs too, esp Glass Hotel.

  13. i would give that an 8% chance, given current conditions and general awareness...
  14. I saw Destroyer last night and goddamn where they great. Dan's got a very good and interesting band behind him. I was kind of annoyed by the bass player (and his last-minute solo opening set didn't help things to start off with; too precious and kinda boring, but then again it was impromptu because tour mates Nap Eyes got detained coming back in from Canada) but he could certainly play bass well. The drummer was fantastic as well, really energetic but not over-playing. The guitar had a killer tone and blended really well with the trumpet player. There was a keyboard, and then another guy who t
  15. what a great record! i found my copy in some Swedish store in 2004 or so. this should get a proper reissue.

Had Warren done the same, it would have helped Sanders but not to same extent.
  17. super delegates are just another way for the DNC to corral and hold power.... the Repubs don't use this, they use delegates chosen by the popular vote. That's the source of Bernie's frustration and I agree with him.
  18. Aside from the one hit that Mazzy Star managed, most people don't know much about his work. The Rain Parade and esp Opal were as good if not better (Opal also featured Kendra Smith from The Dream Syndicate). Rainy Day is also a worthwhile record/one-off project.
