  1. you should do a Lifter/Puller song.
  2. you must choose one option: 1 - you can only listen to music for the rest of your life that you've previously heard. 2 - you can only listen to music for the rest of your life that you've never heard before today.

  4. i thought this was Bowie at first. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGD9i718kBU
  5. the Neil/Dylan thread got me thinking about this question... this is just what you paid, not ancillary costs like transportation to the gig (ie, if you flew somewhere to see a band), and festivals don't count either. talking single gigs. i think actually Wilco is my highest...paid about $100 per ticket back in 2002. i hadn't seen wilco yet and the wife and i decided to splurge for front row tickets via some ebay reseller. definitely worth it. i also paid some guy $150 (face value) for a ticket to see Neil Young and Bert Jansch solo. i had a photo pass but no ticket, and decided i wanted to
  6. i'll have more later but just gotta say it was utterly brilliant. no lie that i'd much have rather seen Nick and Paul last night than Dylan in the same room. fantastic songs, great playing, funny between-song banter, and a really well chosen set list. Dump and Barbara Manning were superb as well. such a fun night.
  7. Joe lost some of his vocal range...he's living in Toronto now, and has hooked up w/ another emigrant to Toronto, Norman Blake of Teenage Fanclub. they are recording and touring as New Mendicants.
  8. it's gonna be an acoustic show, Nick and I forget who else. I think there will be video of it, and i'll be taking stills.
  9. finished season 1 last night...awesome, can't wait for the next. new tunes from Mogwai will be coming as well.
  10. Rocket from the Crypt and Ex-Hex (Mary Timony's new band) tonight! The Bevis Frond/Dump (James McNew's solo project)/Barbara Manning tmrw.
  11. the kid who plays Victor does an amazing job. Camille, too.
  12. Under the Bushes, Under the Stars i've seen 'em 8 times but never got to experience the glory of this one. i mean, is there a better rock anthem? throw the switch, it's rock and roll time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJB76ojybMQ
  13. i didn't either...i ran into JTE at newport last year and mentioned i'd not seen him since the tour he did w/ Jason and he looked at me, mumbled something and walked away. this drawing annoys me for some reason. i've never listened to a podcast but i downloaded both isbell and hood's and plan on listening to them this weekend.
