  1. tonight it's the supergroup Rangda along with Major Stars...psyched for this! the tour a couple of years ago missed Boston (Providence and Easthampton instead), so i am pumped up for this one...Major Stars wreaks all sorts of heavy, in-the-red psych action, whereas Rangda is better know for it's parts (Rick Bishop of Sun City Girls and solo work; Ben Chasny of Six Organs Of Admittance (and other countless projects...Comets On Fire, 200 Years, August Born, Badgerlore, Current 93, Basalt Fingers, etc); Chris Corsano, drummer extraordinaire who has worked with Bjork among others).
  2. yeah...for me, the best period is their mid period...they outgrew the simple punkier sound, and Weller hadn't morphed into a Motown wanna be either. Setting Sons, Sound Affects, and All Mod Cons are top-notch.

  10. i am pretty psyched that i'll be shooting the Boston show.
  11. had a dream where i was shooting a Wilco concert...they were playing in some weird sort of venue where there was an elevated portion where the stage was, and the main audience was below. us photographers got to hang out up on higher level for our songs, which was cool. but as we were waiting for the band to get on, a steady stream of VIPs came in and started clogging up the area, so i had to figure out my shooting plan. got to a decent position as the band started played and then realized that not only didn't i bring two cameras like always, but my main camera was malfunctioning...the lens mou
