the Whigs are now filling in the Sunday slot for the UK ATP that GBV was supposed to play. I've seen the Whigs once, back in '92 or so.

at the expense of GBV, no thanks. well, i'm sure they are not related, but just having spent the $ for the UK one next year, i would much rather see GBV again than the whigs.

well it's unclear as to what 'break-up' means (and that whole concept of the band being back together is a bit weird anyway...they do have two records out, but i figured that was gonna be it, w/ some 2012 shows to tour on), but this sucks.

they picked hte wrong Tull LP to give it the deluxe treatment

i finally bought a copy last weekend but haven't been able to listen to it yet.

Tull is so heavy, even Tony Iommi couldn't last in the band that long.

terrible list, imo.

that's always been RS's mode of operation...the 500 best bands list a few jazz, soul, blues or reggae artists and then the rest of the 97% is just rock. i wonder why they even bother...

i put up a vid of Cortez The Killer, as well as the song BT did w/ Ted Leo. i am having problems w/ the Uncle Tupelo song that Ted Leo did in his solo set, but hope to have that up tonight.
