  1. well if you write 1,000 songs, there is gonna be overlap. i'd say there's far less than what would be expected, but he's not immune from self-repeating at times.
  2. Calling "(I'm) Stranded" 'atrocious' is ridiculous...judge for yrself http://narlus.tumblr.com/
  3. Pop Todd, some good listening there. np: Coil - Plastic Spider Thing
  4. every once in a while i get within minimum nasal distance of a fan. that's basis enough.
  5. yeah I am hoping to shoot both the Boston and the Concord shows.
  6. i didn't realize there was another sale today (i guess i was thinking of Boston's date, tmrw). hey, i guess i will meet you @ the show, then; my wife and i have seats 103/104, Row R.
  7. My oldest drew Captain Beefheart, and the youngest has to tackle Sun Ra.
  8. props to dcarter. sir stewart, i think i actually used a pink square, hence triple word score.
  9. the songs, or the production? because if anyone can write a tight, hook-filled three minute rock n' roll journey, it's bob pollard.
  10. melvins hopefully dungen will release a new LP. grails is due for one too.
  11. you might just not like killer wigouts. which is ok, i guess.
  12. while interpretation of word meanings isn't as cut and dried w/ certainty as mathematics, i think Cryptique is correct and it boggles my mind that others can't grasp this.
  13. is it possible to hate a record which contains "Gold Heart Mountain Queen Directory," "Tractor Rape Chain," "Peephole" and "Queen of Cans and Jars"?
  14. hasn't yr copy of _Alien Lanes_ come in the mail yet?
  15. yes, it's very ambiguous if you think that 'did the most' means the same thing as 'had the most impact,' esp when using the term 'prolific' as a descriptor.
  16. they could do it like the Melvins (for Houdini) or Thurston Moore (for Psychic Hearts) did, and play the songs in a different order
  17. the Pollard content helps it rise above the stupid level.
  18. or my impression now, blimps go 90, quality of armor, choking tara, do the earth, club molluska, time machines, etc. pollard has written so many good songs
  19. laptop, luckily. that 'captcha' had more typing than i'd planned though.
  20. no freaking way. not even close! it's kinda sad that Pollard is mired in obscurity...i know that Hardwood Floor has done his best to proselytize. the other prolific artists from the decade that come to mind are: James Ferraro matt valentine and erika elder (aka mv+ee) jandek sun city girls
  21. the contest is cool, though. i spent most of last night devising my entry for the 'creative tracklisting' part of the contest.
