my local Newbury Comics had copies of both _Being There_ and _Anodyne_ (but no Baroness or Epsers _III_, sadly) and they both sound fantastic as expected. i really want an LP reissue of _March 16-20_ which i imagine would sound blazingly good on wax.

that's a whole lot of blah, esp on the 2nd day...there's really not one band i'd want to see that i haven't already aside from gary numan(add Wobble to PiL and i will change my tune on that particular band).

Slick, yes. Buckley, no. i do. i think it holds together better, and the high points ('cut my hair,' 'quadrophenia,' 5:15,' 'the punk meets the godfather') are better than those on _Tommy_. but don't get me wrong, i love _Tommy_ too.

i saw him open for the Pixies last November...i dug the records a bit more than his performance, but the show was in a very ornate theater and i was kept ~100' from the stage, so there's that...
