you couldn't pay me to go to bonnaroo or coachella. i'm too old and crotchety to stand around in 3rd world conditions for a weekend and pay a fvckload to do so. most of the bands i am interested in i've already seen.

yeah i dig their first cd quite a bit. never did see them play.

not a Beatles song, but i couldn't find a 'what song would you like Wilco to cover' so i tagged on to this thread...driving home today, i was struck by the notion that "I'm One" from The Who would be an inspired choice of a cover for Wilco to tackle. Not sure about Pete's vocal range vis a vis Jeff's but I bet they could find a way to make it work.

i would highly doubt that Young is gonna be w/ the band in any capacity. didn't he pull a gun on at least one of the members at one time? i only saw the band w/ Gary on drums (and that was really early, pre-S&E) so i'd like to see them on this go-around.

yep, that's the place. plenty of free parking too! actually, the sound in the room is excellent. and great sightlines all around.

i can't have SBS on the bottom spot since it's got "Impossible Germany" on it, one of the best songs they've ever written.

my local Newbury Comics had copies of both _Being There_ and _Anodyne_ (but no Baroness or Epsers _III_, sadly) and they both sound fantastic as expected. i really want an LP reissue of _March 16-20_ which i imagine would sound blazingly good on wax.
