I know the audience for this show is rather limited, but hopefully some will enjoy it. Roadburn is certainly one of the finest festivals I've been fortunate enough to attend. Though it's focus is mainly metal (doom, sludge and stoner as opposed to thrash, power or black (though there were some black metal bands this year from Iceland)), they also book bands that have roots in space rock, psychedelia, UK folk, and other forms. Day 1: http://www.invisibleoranges.com/live-review-roadburn-2016-day-1/ Day 2: http://www.invisibleoranges.com/live-review-roadburn-day-2/ Day 3: http://www.

One with aching arthritic hips to boot. It's funny, I walked around Amsterdam today and logged so many more miles and feel fine. But standing around with 15# around your neck and shoulders for 12 hours a day is brutal.

Buried At Sea buried me. that was the 54th band i've seen at least a part of their set over the last four days. i am fucking tired!

Either I can't do math anymore or someone doesn't think her first record counts.
-
I can't recall how it is then. She's not currently eligible? Maybe I was thinking that. Well known for her creative compositional style and distinct singing, Björk's recording career began in 1977 at the age of 11, when she released (as Björk Guðmundsdóttir) her first album, while studying piano and flute at music school.

You don't need to exist as a band for any specific duration of time. The only criteria is that 25 years have elapsed since your first release. Which is why Björk is in already, as she released a record when she was quite young.

i think of it as a musician signing w/ a major label (or maybe even just a distribution deal)... their old stuff and approach hasn't been affected (at least in some cases, like Ballast Point for example).

Did anyone go to the Acid Mothers Temple show last night? They played a 10 min version of "The Wizard."
