  1. If you go to Largo's Instagram and check out their "stories" you can catch most of, if not all, his set from last night. It's about 25 minutes long. It isn't archived, and is only available for 24 hours from when it was posted (so it will disappear Friday evening).
  2. Thanks for the thorough recaps, Paul. Sounds like another year of special shows at The Vic. Hope to make it next year.
  3. The capacity of Boston HoB is 2700; the Orpheum, where they've played fairly recently, is 2500. I'm pretty glad that they don't play HoB, as I hate that place, but I don't know that it's too small for them. Then again, they sold out The Wang (3500) in 2011.... FWIW, I love picking up tickets at The Sinclair box-office for Bowery Boston shows as they waive fees. You can save $20+ on a pair of tix.
  4. Hey Paul, did Jeff say anything about White Wooden Cross? Referencing the track list posted on Bull Moose's site, it doesn't look like a Warmer track. As always, thanks for your reporting! I am counting down the days until Jeff's back in the Northeast!
  5. That'll be fun! Boston tix were nearly impossible when they came through on the last album cycle, and so I ended up not going. I wish I liked the new single more... Not sure I'm a big fan of the direction they've been headed in, but they do put on a great live show.
  6. New album, I Am Easy To Find, from The National is coming out on May 17, 2019 and will be accompanied by a world tour. https://americanmary.com The first single You Had Your Soul with You: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBcVrb-snPk&list=PLIrpDAtP87O5I4mfwqT12WZcImQwARpXt&index=3&t=0s

    Warmer

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we've heard: Orphan, Family Ghost, Ultra Orange Room, and Evergreen? Jeff's played all of those solo, except for Ulta Orange Room, which was part of the Let's Go (So We Can Get Back) audiobook...

    Warmer

we are so lucky. jeff's recent output has been so great, in quantity and quality. warm has some of my favorite jt songs in all of his catalogue and i cannot wait to hear the sequel!
  9. I’m not a Chicago local but I’m going to disagree with this. Avoid their pizza, but their grilled cheese and fries are fine by me. Proximity to the venue can’t be beat too.
  10. Didn't Scott play with Jeff during his solo set in 2010? Family Gardener maybe? Would love for a Jeff/Scott Dear Employer.
  11. I'm worried about Ryan. I hope that he gets the help that he needs. This is, of course, not an excuse for terrible behavior. It'll be hard for me to put on any of his albums any time soon, that's for sure. What a shame.
  12. No outcry from me. It is interesting, though, that they do a pretty short European run in June and then return again 3 months later. The only show I'm aware of in between is Jeff's solo spot at NFF. Maybe the US will see some Wilco shows in July/August? Oh no, is this turning into an outcry?!
  13. Yeah, but what an opportunity to see Tropical Fuck Storm and Hillbilly Moon Explosion on the same bill!
  14. Orchestra pit row CC - seats 301 and 302. FV was $205 total for the pair. Venmo/PayPal preferred. Can email the PDFs over. Thanks!
  15. Today, Ryan Adams shared “Fuck The Rain” – the lead single from #BIGCOLORS. Download/stream the track, which features a guitar solo by John Mayer and Benmont Tench on the organ, here: https://ryanadams.lnk.to/FTheRainFP. “Check out this song it’s cool. Or don’t-we all might die trump is president. I love you, sincerely Ryan Adams.”
  16. A really wonderful performance. Cars Can’t Escape and VC were particularly beautiful. Another highlight was Family Ghost, which I cannot wait to hear on the forthcoming Warmer. From my vantage point it looked like the show was being video recorded. Was that the case for night 1 too?
  17. Jeff will be playing solo at Newport Folk Festival on Saturday, July 27. ISO: 2 tix!
  18. I cannot keep up with the Tweedy content lately, but I'm glad I read this one... Fun little interview. Thanks for sharing.
  19. This is a very minor detail, but I noticed during the Colbert performance (& Saturday's live stream) that Spencer's kick drum has art that looks to be inspired by Let's Go Rain. When I saw that I assumed that he had it done b/c he'd be touring behind the album too. And re: another new album... I was just telling someone the other day how lucky I am that my favorite songwriter is so prolific. Jeff's output is so great (both in quantity and quality) & he doesn't seem to be slowing down.
  20. Sorry if I was curt - I didn’t mean to be but it might read that way. Those 2013 Largo shows are my most listened to Roadcases. I have the banter memorized at this point. I understand how special those shows are and I’m sorry you missed out this time around. Generally speaking, I think the band’s new model of announcing shows and having a presale two days later is good for fans as it gives scalpers less time to prepare. Unfortunately, it means that if you don’t follow the band on social media and are really “tuned in” there’s a chance of missing out - especially when the venue is a shoeb
  21. I believe it seats 130.
  22. Those shows were announced nearly a month ago and sold out in minutes.
  23. I'm really loving the newly released I Know What It's Like. One fun little lyrical connection between that song and Some Birds: Some Birds In my window/I have a twin/I look out/He looks in/He has a point/I applaud/Oh my goodness/Oh my god I Know What It's Like When the lights are dim/In my window I have a twin/I’m always looking out/And he’s always looking in
