I've heard from many sources that it's likely not to happen this year. But after seeing the Chicago setlists, i really hope they come back to NY soon
-
By my count, that's 4 AM songs, 5 Mermaid ave songs, 2 YHF outtakes, and only one YHF and AGIB song each. No SBS. Weird, incredible looking setlist.

Six Being There songs, looks like a great set -
YES. Favorite Avett Bros lyric. Here's another one "Oh lou, no my dreams did not come true. No they only came apart" - Dawes

We're coming up on the 10th anniversary of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

One thing i'd like to see is some extra I Am Trying To Break Your Heart footage. Specifically footage of Jeff and Jim O'rourke in the studio (footage i assume probably exists but wasn't in the film at all). This, i believe, was the most interesting part of the recording of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and yet it wasn't included in the film at all. I would love to see what some of those sessions were like. -
Yup, the second one was still really small

It's not always bad. I saw Wilco this past fall for the first time in a seated venue (the Ryman in Nashville) and every single person on the floor was standing from start to finish, which was impressive seeing as they opened with One Sunday Morning. I had the same concern you did, but i think more often than not, Wilco crowds want to stand just as much as you do.

I had two, but the shirt from the first Solid Sound was waaaay too small, so i only wear the airplane one now

3rd straight show without IATTBYH and Jesus, maybe they've finally gone the way of previous staples like Spiders? -
Anyone else noticed it's the second straight show without both IATTBYH and Jesus? Interesting. Also had no Handshake Drugs

Did this happen? Never heard of that, would be very interested to hear about it though

More importantly, will he wear his Neil Young hat?

American Songwriter's top 50 albums of 2011

I love the new Dawes record, glad to see it got recognized so well on this list. Oh, and Wilco too. EDIT: Wow, Johnny Corndawg made the list too, that's a bit surprising but cool as well -
Yes, Kanye is eligible for Dark Twisted Fantasy this year. I think Wilco could convievably get a nod for best Alternative album, but probably nothing more than that. In the end, it doesn't even matter at all, its just the grammy's

Neither did my local one, wish i hadn't left NYC for Thanksgiving. If anyone got an extra one that they'd be willing to part with, please PM me. -

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band
JAK2112 replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Someone Else's Song
Was at both of those, they were both great, but i don't think he'll be doing the albums thing again, at least not for a while. Specifically at the Wild and Innocent night, he said "For tonight and tonight only" -
Awesome to see the 2011 shows added, Wilcobase lives!

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band
JAK2112 replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Someone Else's Song
Glad it'll be an E Street Tour, afraid that wasn't going to happen for a while after Clarence passed. Not as excited for the new album, but im sure it will be listenable -
Probably Atlanta, since that's where CNN is based out of

I think Wilco could really nail a Television cover, Marquee Moon or Friction would be great to hear
