I am on the fence about going to Boston to see them on the 29th. Already have tickets for Portland on the 27th, and a friend is willing to spring for 2 tickets for the 29th. Decisions, decisions.

I used the $2 off coupon today to get Star Wars on vinyl. May spin it tonight. It has a sticker on the outside regarding the Pitchfork live download, but it is black vinyl.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

I agree, though I have not followed the band as closely since college. However, I am not a fan of Live After Death. Could never get into that one. -
I was there, too, and it was not a top Wilco show for me either. Jeff chastised the crowd at one point for getting up from their seats (to go to the bathroom or whatever) while the band was playing and singing their pretty poems. I felt like the audience-band connection was lost in the larger arena. Maybe their pretty poems (I remember Muzzle of Bees was one that night) do not translate to 7,000 seat arenas. It was also the only time I have seen MMJ, who opened that show.

Love GA at the State Theater. Much better than their seating arrangement, in my opinion. I have seen numerous shows there, both GA and seated, including WIlco GA and Jeff solo seated. The GA shows blow away the seated shows in terms of audience energy. So glad Wilco chose to go with GA!

Used the net/events and got 4 GA for Portland. Hooray! Thank you, Nalafej!

It looks like The State Theatre show in Portland could be general admission. There is only one ticket price.

Indeed. 20 minute drive to the State Theatre in Portland for me. Boston on a Friday night may be doable, too. Loving it!

How Many Songs Does It Take?
The Inside of Outside replied to Atticus's topic in Someone Else's Song
Son Volt's Windfall is a good call. That is definitely a band that one song can pretty much sum up their sound and what they are about. -

If they make it in, it would make me smile. -

I see Chicago as a lock, too. -
So another regular season has come to a close. It is amazing that the top 3 teams are all in the same division. The Cubs or Pirates are going to be bummed on Wednesday - one of them will lose the wild card game after winning 97 or 98 games this year. Ouch.

With Wilco having wrapped up touring for 2015, I am ready to hear VCers prognostications for 2016. Will they continue to play Star Wars in its entirety to lead off shows? When will they hit the road in '16? Where will they tour as they continue to plug Star Wars? Will another record be released?

Pretty amazing stuff.

Which Star Wars songs will become deep cuts?

And they are recording with Peter Buck, with a spring 2016 target for release. https://www.facebook.com/jayhawksofficial/photos/a.197659083591434.51048.196510573706285/1054238964600104/?type=3&theater -

I am thrilled to see the electric Spiders in the recent set lists. Now to just keep it around until the band hits New England again........ -
