heard on the radio today that there is a flu strain making the rounds in illinois, that the current flu vaccine does not prevent. we are cancelling the twins birthday party this due to logan picking something up and i'm starting to feel like i'm catching something too. in all seriousness, after friday night i really wished i would have made better plans that would have entailed me hitting at least one more show and/or linking up w/ more vc folks. looking at my week, it would have been a mess trying to make it happen.

dude, i'm getting slammed at work and by the time i would even make it from here to downtown...you'd be heading into the Riv. throw in that the twins turn two on thursday and we are plaaning for the big party. if it was the weekend, i would have less issues. mega-bummed.

before the friday show, i'm sitting in the borders cafe across the street just BS-ing w/ my buddy kev and someone comes up and goes...'El Ron?' i think lou must have stated i was hanging out over there. this is awful, but now i can't remember who from the board it was...recognized the screename, but now i don't remember. i also finally met edie, in person...but it was sub-zero temps and our hands were too cold to goose each other or anything fun.

that encore could be better than the entire show last night. sweet creamy jesus.

Outside of the heaviness on SBS material, a great fucking show. I have to agree that Can't Stand It was the highlight...but I was stoked to hear my favorite song a couple tunes into the set. Really, alot of highlights...made wish I was going each night, which is a good sign I suppose. I do think I have a new appreciation for Impossible Germany, but I have to admit that I was probably talking through the rest of the SBS tunes myself. Nice to see a lot of folks I hadn't seen in a long time, finally meet a few i've never met before and sorry I missed a few I know were there, but it was too fuck

this is worse news than the UK shows being cancelled and the opera box contest debacle combined. i'll be there mid/late-afternoon, but i won't be standing in line.

maybe they checked it out after they grabbed him coming out of there...the bookcase was wide open. could have happened, they just didn't show it? maybe? i tell you, i'm really enjoying the pace of this season so far. however, the preview for next week's episode made it look a little snoozy...more kate/sawyer lovey dovey crap.

i received the original trilogy DVD set for valentine's day today. i don't think i've watched them since i got the original trilogy on VHS a long time ago. excited.
