  1. Review and a few pics of the fantastic Bowery show at Spin charles
  2. No, my camera has heft but is not square nor does it cook toast. I did have a pass though. That sounds like a view camera, but I didn't see anyone there with any sort of 'real' camera other than a press guy at the very beginning. charles
  3. A couple of shots from the show, John with his upright and the wacky T shirt guy.... charles
  4. I have pictures. Maybe a couple too many to attach here Main site an abbreviated selection more Wilco than is possible to look at charles
  5. I have another, but can't recall from what show. More Wilco pics Here charles
  6. Interesting critique. I both agree and disagree on the assessment. For obvious reasons, your average 'fan' shots are all going to look the same. Usually one point of view, from his/her seat. For me, those shots are usually worth looking at for novelty alone (funny expression, cool venue, etc). A more ambitious shooter can offer much more. Even then, most press access type photographers are often restrained by the '3 song rule', which allows pit and venue access for only the first three songs (urban legend has it that this was started by Rod Stewart, who in his vanity became too sweaty and unat
  7. ...you have a 1 terabyte hard drive dedicated to and nearly filled with photos you've taken of them (plus one more as a backup)...
  8. Fun indeed. Here's a preview.... charles
  9. Great show. Great looking venue. Here's a preview... charles
  10. My wife initially thought that Jeff was saying 'I'm a-sassin' down the avenue' as opposed to I assassin. When she learned the truth, she said that she never thought Jeff was the sassy kind.
  11. Here is the aforementioned busted string No expectations please From a fixed position, my snaps will be only 2.5% better than your average ones. I actually used a little film camera (Leica) most of the time, have not even seen the results yet. I'll post a few once I get them back. The real keeper from this show (besides our lifetime memories) will be from Warner. Can Not Wait. What a fine show! Thanks to those who made it happen, you know who you are. One of the highlights for me was Feed of Man, which Lori has been requesting on the tours for quite some time. Let's hope he hands it t
  12. This may be the one, though it is completely black and white. Zoran shot this..
  13. FYI, they did another new song at soundcheck. Not One Wing or Sunny, but one I've not heard before. Jeff repeated something that initially sounded like 'Wilco', but I think he said 'We go'. Sounded really good. charles
  14. Aha. I know the so many faces, so few names..It was fun indeed. Seriously considered trekking to Delaware. Here's a preview.. ...and I don't know that I ever posted these (similar to WilcoWorld photos) Pageant Residency charles
  15. I'll be there! I'll have camera, I'll take pics. Will I be working? Define 'work'... charles
  16. The photos up on WilcoWorld are in Flash both for protection issues as well as viewing convenience. Each of us own the rights to our own work. That being said, I don't mind personal use such as Desktop or Screensaver, though I frown on distribution w/o permission. I occasionally offer prints for sale to those who request them. If I didn't reply once, I apologize. Like most of us, Wilco is for fun and real work sometimes interferes. I don't recommend screen captures mainly because the image resolution at WilcoWorld is only 600 x 900 pix, not good enough to fill the screen on even the smallest o
  17. That was me. Glad you like. Here's some from both Rwanda and Ethiopia.... Link Here Contact me for usage information, tell me about the project and your intended use and distribution of the images.
  18. Thank you all for the warm compliments. For me, YOU are as much a part of the whole experience as the band. That's not to say I wouldn't enjoy the band were they to play to an empty theater (I was fortunate enough to see them do Pieholden 3 times that way during soundcheck) I may not post often, nor can I match Paul and his likes in attendance, but I'm as diehard as the rest of you. That little run of shows was one of the highlights of my life. Thanks to the band and their crew for the warm hospitality and extraordinary access. By the way, Wilco is the ONLY band I ever photograph. While
