The mucky corner and two views of the posh bit - though I don't remember if it was too dark for you to see it all those years ago Donna. Probably was as it was Late afternoon in November. Crammed in There are tomatoes (pronounced tomatoes), potatoes (pronounced potatoes), herbs, raspberries, blackcurrants, cherries, a traind apricot tree, and various gerkin like things I don't know much about (I just plant them). Also a vine that does give some grapes. At the other posh end there is a bigger cherry tree, an apple tree, more black currants, and strawberries and little wild strawberries. All a

I believe that the original links on the TV station website might not be available any more, but 8 minutes of interview (i.e. more than the previous YouTube link in the thread) are available here now:-

Wonder if playing Tomorrow Never Knows on the Dylan tour had any part in the germination of that song. As I have said, love the fact that there's this and folky songs on the same release.

Brakes - Touchdown (apparently called Brakesbrakesbrakes in the US) As has been mentioned, can't go wrong with The Jam. Start with All Mod Cons The Housemartins (who when split became The Beautiful South and Fatboy Slim) Birdmonster Rockpile

Searching in Amazon brought up this cover with similar style

Ditto. Like something Ronnie Lane might have done. I'm really very happy indeed that there is a full kaleidoscope of sounds and styles on this album, like Revolver as you said.

Gabba, gabba, ney indeed.

Such a joy to behold. It is a fantastic little venue and indeed this was where JT performed last time he was solo in London. I had watched a Lance Armstrong documentary that day (a day which for me had been universally terrible for a variety of reasons), and I came out feeling like I'd received a shot of Mavis EPO. Who else can drop The Weight just into the middle of a setlist, and for the first time ever there was no tedium for me in an obligatory 'introduce the band' segment - Mavis's voice has such character that it does not matter what she's saying. . . . Funny . . . but not necessarily in a good way or . . . written by an eleven year old . . . read like a 'what I did in my holidays' story for a school task -
Always the chance of some clunkers in the few as yet unheard tracks (I am picky and there is plenty that I have not liked in all that has gone before), but personally I have been thinking that this sounds like the most consistently good quality set of songs that JT has produced in a single release. Time will tell though of course.

Love the live version. The studio version doesn't have the extra fizz I was expecting, being slightly slower. Still gets a pass mark though and it will probably grow on me like several of the new songs.

Spending lunchtime watching Robert Plant's Glastonbury set in BBC iPlayer. Very nice. Like his new stuff and a good twist on some old crowd pleasers. Actually prefer him now to LZ.

Very Tom Sawyer. That reminds me of the black and white series they used to show in the school summer holidays, along with White Horses, The Flashing Blade, Robinson Crusoe (brilliant soundtrack) and The Monkees.
