  1. Somewhere on the west coast - don't know: wasn't there :-)But I do have fine memories of a particular west coast burrito purveyor myself ...
  2. Nice. Thanks. What is it with this music? I wouldn't be interested in this sort of analysis for anyone else. The Beatles music is just in my DNA somehow ever since they became the first band I got into in my teenage years. Lucky choice :-)
  3. Bugger. Lawnmover sales plummet. My own favourite
  4. http://quirkytravelguy.com/rock-roll-hall-fame-pictures-inside/ Seems like it won't be worn any time soon then without a quick requisition.
  5. Would be good to hear "Australia's most notorious fan" called out :-) They have the setlist with the timings shown in the page, so it would lead me to believe that they may have broadcast the whole thing at some point? It must be out there ...
  6. Link to the interview here:- http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/liveset/wilco-live-in-melbourne/4643484 Listening now ...
  7. A high energy half hour set at Record Store Day at 4pm. At 8pm Paul Weller is on and the Strypes are backing him - which shows what he thinks of them. Unfortunately could not stay in town for that and had missed out on the required wristband anyway, but really glad I caught the Strypes. A quick meet and greet afterwards - nice lads I'm glad to say. Christ Difford was there too - he's working with them in some capacity.
  8. Personally never seen this before. Some lovely moments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6zGgF2QPdo
  9. I remembered seeing this in 2005. The whole thing's a no brainer surely when this sort of thing can happen, plus they get free crazy price tickets ... http://dannymiller.typepad.com/blog/2005/11/you_cant_always.html
  10. Really pleasant listen now spring is in the air.
  11. Edit - from the name of the media file account, could this be the work of a certain BeShakey here?
  12. A recovery of sorts and I do like most of the things Gatiss does (especially lots of radio stuff here), but somehow I'm still not feeling it like I was over the past 18 months. BTW forAnalogman - there was a new one off Jonathan Creek for Easter weekend that was well received. Have not seen it myself yet.
  13. N.B. That media fire link was set up by the blogger, so I can't vouch for it. I haven't downloaded or listened to it myself. Time to sleep now. http://this-was-now.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/wilco-26-march-2013-rrr-radio.html
  14. Oh the deep joy of Google Translate: Rickets! http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://ro69.jp/live/detail/80938&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dwilco%2Btweedy%26client%3Dsafari%26sa%3DX%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D768%26bih%3D928%26tbs%3Dqdr:h
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOXxWYkgbkc They're just tearing it up on the middle track of this three. On Jools Holland this week ... the momentum is growing. Free Record Store Day gig a week Saturday - I'll be there with bells on.
  16. Once - The Musical has just opened here to good reviews.
  17. Good work 'token Asian guy'. Surprised you didn't mention that Namba Hatch looks like the Mysterons HQ (or so I am led to believe):-
  18. 3 tracks live in session for BBC 6 radio music http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p017fh37
  19. None whatsoever. As a Welshman, the miners strike of 83-84 was a terrible time indeed. There were certain things that needed to be changed with the way Trade Unions operated, but she led a cynical campaign to break them at any cost without a care for the single-industry communities affected. Heartless and morally bankrupt.
  20. I like it too. I found their last sounded too crowded and I ignored it. I like them a bit more sonically sparse so the voice and drums stand out.
  21. Hence my earlier comment here to which I assumed the reply was 'Eh?' and needed more explanation.
