JT Talks To The 13th Floor (Interview)
Albert Tatlock replied to Albert Tatlock's topic in Just A Fan
Possibly the only new snippet I took out of it:- "I just don’t think you’re ever going to play a record live, unless it’s something, I don’t know, that’s recorded live. I don’t think you can ever play it and have the impact be more profound than the experience someone has listening to a record by themselves and growing with it over a long period of time." -

The "My grandparents were not… no, I don’t know." could have been revealing ... JT almost let down his interview guard a bit too far ...

After 30 secs on YouTube (Funeral Singers), these seem like something I should get more of. Any top tips where to start M.Chris? P.S. -

Not long until Wilco experience the Blackness again, as Jed Thian would say. If JT wants to continue with producing, I think he could do a great job with Emmylou. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501119&objectid=10873138

First time I ever heard a note from JT it was on Arkansas Traveller, though I did not realise it at the time. The Hothouse Flowers backed songs on that album I still like a lot. -

Pre-tour phone call with JS http://www.thebrag.com/2013/03/14/music-interview-wilco/ Wilco Whole Again By Dijana Kumurdian It’s something intangible that hits you between your heart and your groin,” says Wilco’s bass player John Stirratt. “That’s what makes a song for me. It’s not incredible words, not incredible music – it’s a feeling in that part of your gut that’s right in between your hips or your groin and your heart, you know?” When the co-founder of an American alt-rock giant reveals to you the secret of a good song, you should probably take note.
