  1. Sending prayers, wishes & good vibes for swift healing & a gentle path forward. Blessings Of Love & Light to Sue & the whole Tweedy tribe.
  2. Wow, those were both a total joy to watch. Thanks!! Found this when I watching the others...haven't checked it out start to finish yet, but...lots of great sections so far... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfhdbfFtRVc
  3. I have a lead of a Friday ticket (or two), but Saturday remains elusive...I can't commit, & travel that far, without tickets for both shows covered. Hoping for the best...
  4. Two more recent solo acoustic shows have been released as Roadcase #29 (Denver 12/3/13) & #30 (Kansas City 12/5/13). And the continued editing out of all material from "Wilco (The Album)" rolls along with show #29- missing both "Solitaire" and "You & I" ("Solitaire" should have opened the show, & "You & I" was between "The Ruling Class" & "Bob Dylan's 49th Beard"), and show #30- having lost "One Wing" (should have been between "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" & "Pecan Pie").. I really hope whatever is going on gets worked out & they these are offered up someday as
  5. I think it's not that it'll be bigger...just think the logistics mean, to do it well/right & still have it be fun for Wilco, that having it morph into a consistently "every other year" event is what's going on. Also...I'm guessing we'll get full band shows after the new album is done...maybe a one-off at a Fest or something could happen...but I'm betting more that Jeff Tweedy solo will happen at Fests & then, whenever the new album's done is when Wilco will be back out on the road. Hopefully this Autumn...but it could take longer, who knows?
  6. As I suspected. All good. 2013 is going to be hard to top...of course this just REALLY makes me want to find a way to go to those two all-request solo acoustic Jeff Tweedy shows in Feb. in Chicago. Then after this, I'll alternate...2014- All Request Benefit Shows, 2015- Solid Sound, 2016- All Request Benefit Shows, 2017- Solid Sound, etc. ...good plan, eh? I did both last year...honestly will probably have to miss both this year, but...you never know!!
  7. Roadcase #28 just released. That was fast!! I Wonder how many of these solo acoustic shows we'll get...really sad situation that they continue to edit out the songs from "Wilco (The Album)"- this time we lose "Bull Black Nova" (again- and like, "Art Of Almost"- it's a real epic that translates surprisingly well into the solo acoustic format). ...though, oddly enough, the full, unedited show, complete with "Bull Black Nova" in all it's glory, is still up to stream for free in the Roadcase section of the official Wilco website. http://wilcoworld.net/#!/roadcase/moore-theatre-seattle-wa Well here
  8. Just noticed Roadcase Shows #18 & #19, both nights of the 2013 Solid Sound Fest, are gone, or at least missing in action, off of the official Roadcase Series page at Kung Fu Nation? Wonder if it's just a glitch, or something else. Weird. I've got them, but I sure hope they return...they were/are amazing!!
  9. It is amazingly cool solo. It should have been on Roadcase #25 (from L.A. night #2 of a 4 night run 12/16/13)- between "Dash 7" & "One True Vine" & Roadcasae #28 (from Seattle- it should be between "Kamera" & "One True Vine") as well, but also all the material from "Wilco (The Album)" has been edited out of the recent Roadcase releases of acoustic shows (Roadcase #24-30). from #24- "You & I" (and the aborted "Country Disappeared"- but that makes sense) #25- "Bull Black Nova" #26- "Solitaire", "One Wing" & I'll Fight" #27- is a complete show #28- "Bull Black Nova" #29- "Soli
  10. Yup, once again into the fray with "Wilco" (The Album)". I just wrote Annick at Kung Fu Nation to see if we can get to the bottom of this. Sad to lose so many great songs from those shows...almost half of that album got done. Needless to say I'll let everyone know what I hear back, if anything. Here's what I wrote: "What the heck is up with publishing rights, or whatever legal issues that are going on involving "Wilco (The Album)"?!!? There are songs cut from 3 of the 4 shows here- from #24- "You & I" (and the aborted "Country Disappeared"- but that makes sense) #25- "Bull Black Nova" #26-
  11. Roadcase Shows #24 through #27 are made up of the recent 4 night run of Jeff Tweedy Solo Acoustic shows in Los Angeles, CA at Largo at the Coronet on Dec. 15th,16th,18th & 19th, 2013. It appears that 3 of the 4 of these Roadcase releases edit out songs from the full set lists (though night 4, 12/19/13, Roadcase #27 appears to be complete)- check the set lists for exact detailed info. #24 (12/15/13): 01 - I Am Trying to Break Your Heart 02 - Remember the Mountain Bed 03 - Wait Up (Uncle Tupelo) 04 - A Long Time Ago 05 - (Was I) In Your Dreams 06 - The Ruling Class (Loose Fur) 07 - Dawned O
  12. REALLY hoping that this means some east coast Jeff Tweedy Solo Acoustic dates!!!! I'm waiting on this one...it's a 4 hour drive & I'm not sure how long a set he'll be playing. I like some other artists, but I'm not blown away by the rest of the line-up. I do have a number of friends who are going- so that part would be fun. This one is a wait & see, & maybe later for me, but I still might go...like I said- REALLY hope it's a sign of him doing more east coast solo shows!!!!
  13. I'm Danelectro crazy myself! And not just because Nels Cline is Jerry Jones/Danelectro crazy too either I always wait to get great deals on them (you can find them really, really cheap if you wait for it...)...soooo... I currently have a Silver Sparkle '59 reissue DC-3 (3 pick-up version of the DC-59), a Silver Sparkle DC Bass, a Black DC-12 String, & a Butterscotch Blonde '56 reissue Baritone- which is U2 model guitar shaped, or if you prefer Dolphin Bass shaped. ...the total cost for all 4 was just under $1000, & they sound like a million bucks...which, of course, is priceless
  14. I can pretty safely say, barring any crazy interventions from the Cosmos, that I will be at any & every future Solid Sound (my first was this last year). It is already bordering on the supernatural with all the good vibes & sonic magic, but... I'll hope for beautiful & entertaining weather- mostly in the form of sunshine. I was actually pretty ill at the Fest (nasty cold), but if I'd had my powers I would have turned the temp down about 10 degrees & reduced all humidity to zero...oh & a stronger than gentle breeze too...other than that, it was like a cross between Wonka's C
  15. Gotta just mention that I loved reading this thread. Anything involving Lotti always bring a smile to my face & often even causes laughing out loud. Thanks!
  16. Chosen: Weather Assigned: Personal Magnetism Thanks again for this great & fun thread idea. I'd come in on part three & knew we were supposed to utilize our super powers to create more perfect Wilco concert experiences. That's why I chose the weather. With the ability to control the weather we'd have almost always sunny & perfect Wilco outdoor shows! But... being able to control things for a three mile radius, at will, means... we'd also sometimes have showers, just at the right time, for contrast, and then back to the sun shining through...more importantly...I'd use incredible we
  17. GREAT THREAD!!! YOU ROCK!! I'm going with..."WeatherMan (or WeatherWoman): You have the ability to change the weather around you to whatever you choose! But only for 3 square miles surrounding you, and remember, you're in there too, and you aren't invincible.". The others are great, but having this one in tow helps me for what I now know to be part 3 (late to the game= better chances for planning for good outcomes)...and who doesn't want to be able to change the scene & setting in the blink of an eye...especially when it means being able to give everyone & anyone that (speaking in Soni
  18. Thanks for the tip...tuned in at work!! If I'd known earlier I'd tried to have gotten up early to have caught Sally Timms too!!
  19. They are, at least, as favorite a band as I've ever had. Although I tend to list The Beatles as my sentimental faves, I realize there are a good half dozen to dozen bands/artists who've moved me the most. Wilco is way up there, often #1 (if there is such a thing), and of currently active artists the only other one I'm anywhere near as excited about hearing new material from, or seeing live, are Paul Simon & Yo La Tengo. After that I'd say The Flaming Lips, Donna The Buffalo, Paul McCartney & Richard Thompson are probably the other ones I'm most interested in doing great work now. Then
  20. Sweet & Beautiful!! That's gonna be one pretty happy little 7-year old girl! And, I concur, Susan sure does ROCK!!!!
  21. Hmmmmm...well I have until Friday... let's see, I'd have to not fall in love before Valentine's Day (odds are in favor of this not happening, but you never know...)... and... I am rationalizing that since there is no Solid Sound 2014 that I could make this my big venture for the year for this sort of stuff (knowing full well that a new album & tour might head me into lots of later in the year Wilco show action as well)... ...oh yeah, and going from March to April would have made me way more likely to go, but heading backwards into Feb. makes it a shakier proposition for me- both of unpred
  22. Best news I've heard in a long time...looking forward to when 1 through 10 are done...and they turn it up for 11!!! Onwards towards the new Wilco album...and BEYOND!!
  23. That was lightning fast! From Wilco's official facebook page" "Trust us, we were there. Wilco's show last Friday night at Stubb's Austin (their final full-on set for a good while) was epic. And it's now on sale in the Wilco Store Roadcase. 34 tracks in multiple formats. Get it." Having this come out has dwindled my already thin to none hopes of an AmericanaramA compilation coming out...I'm still hoping (very thin hope) for a holiday surprise release involving that...if your listening Team Wilco- that's 2 volumes- one of the collaborations & one featuring the less played Wilco originals..
