Wishing Scott a speedy recovery. He used to live in my neighborhood. Go way back to YFF with him. The song "Amy Grant" still makes me laugh every time I hear it.

The Perilous Night is song of the year as far as I'm concerned.
-
I got the 2 disc version today. The remaster is superb. The live show is also remastered & sounds fantastic.
-
Soft Bulletin is an all time favorite with Summerteeth not far behind. I play both a lot. I listened to the concert disc of the Automatic reissue. I had heard before on boots but they have remastered it. Sounds fantastic!

I'd go but I'm not well. Getting around is a challenge right now.I'm hoping to rally & make the Mogwai show day after Thanksgiving.
-
has anyone gone to any of the shows? i heard something about him only playing 6 songs @ the first show.

The Perilous Night by Drive-by Truckers. Patterson has knocked one out of the park with this one.

i hope you are well soon. i had mine done over 10 years ago & it is hanging in ok. i'm sure the tech has grown a lot in the meantime.

it was brutal for me. i think the main problem was that earl thomas was out. he's the heart & soul of the team.

life's rich pageant is another personal fave. that was a really good tour with guadacanal diary opening. at the end, stipe did "we don't need another hero" accompinied by a beat box. strangeness but cool.
-
i got into them with Chronic Town. came out early in my music biz days when i was in my very early 20s. i heard boxcars & was immediately hooked.

Hawk playing the Native Americans today @ home. Very cold here & we've actually had a bit of snow here. Unheard of early November. GO HAWKS!

Find the River is an all-time favorite song for me by anyone. Think my favorite album by them is New Adventures in Hi Fi. "I wore my door mat face...". Any record that has a song inspired by Shakes the Clown can't be all bad. You're in the barrel now...

got some really good tickets for Drive-by Truckers show in February (Seattle). It's the rock show!
-
Last minute long shot here: I'm too sick to go to the Hawks/Texans game. If there are any fans in the Seattle area that happen to see this, I have 2 excellent tickets on the 100 level. Corner of endzone. I paid face value from ticketbastard but they were spendy. I'm hoping to recoup at least part of what I spent on them. This is killing me as this was to be my 1 game this year. If you're interested, shoot me a PM.

Seattle. it's him & another guy acoustic. Easy Street Records has an attached cafe. I think its $20. There are other options with signed posters & hanging out with Tommy for more money. Kind of different. Could be a tough night for me. Night before Thanksgiving & in the middle of a chemo cycle. But it's 2 miles from my house. http://www.tommystinson.com/

Tommy is playing my local record store around Thanksgiving. Probably will go depending on a few other factors.

condolences. went through that 2 years ago.
