Nice! I saw them last October & they were pretty good. Enjoy!

nice! bring your hearing protection. "you made me realize" is literally like standing next to running jet engine.

seeing them early september. looking forward to it. this band is working hard!

Looking forward to night 2 @ Safeco Field. Only bummer is have to miss a free Afghan Whigs show as part of the Sub Pop 30th anniversary celebration. The day after is a huge free show at the beach with a bunch of cool bands (Beach House: yes!). Wouldn't be surprised if there is some sort of Pearl Jam affiliated appearance there. The 25th anniversary, Soundgarden played unannounced.

so good to have a good news story for a change. RIP for the rescuer who died.

after much trouble i got first balcony tix for seattle. evidently bob seger tix went on sale at the same time & ticketbastard kept crashing. interesting, the venue is all seated but the show was GA by tier (floor, 1st balcony, 2nd balcony). luckily, they had a caveat about ADA seating. supposed to talk to the venue staff on arrival & they will seat me in a roped off section. should be ok. bad things going on with me & mobility & sadly i can't go to shows without ADA seating.

i have figured out that if i talk bad about the mariners they win. am a long suffering fan & have been burned several times obviously. so, they suck & can just go to hell!

Seattle Mariners are a pleasant surprise so far. Better living via modern chemistry.

Have you ever been to a concert that made you lose interest in a band?

tears for fears a few years ago. luv their records. the show was at a local winery & tickets expensive. really bad opening act & then a very long break. tears barely played an hour & had sound issues most of the show. no encore. -
i've got to listen to it more. first listen, didn't like as much as (non vile) record. will give a chance though.

Nils is an awesome player. On the vid, Neil seemed to be enjoying the whole thing. Got to hang out with Nils once. Very nice & funny guy. His solo shows are always good, too.

Ever hang out in Vancouver, or Victoria BC?

& seattle is only a few hours to the south, if you are so inclined. easy drive except in rush hour seattle. -
it was 2016. wish i could've seen the 3 night stand there or hollywood bowl. i went to vegas (small venue) & portland. they were my big bucket list band. they did not disappoint! they were 2 very different shows & each amazing in its own way. the vegas one is up on youtube.

I hear Rob Baker was there, too.

I saw the 2nd show of the Joshua Tree tour a year ago & Bono's voice was great. I always have reservations when I go see them & end up being blown away by how good they are live. Especially the 360 show. It was just stunning & probably the best stadium show I've seen (Joshua Tree was extremely close). It probably helps that in Seattle we have a stadium that actually sounds good. It was designed with sound in mind which is kind of a rarity for that sort of venue. I'd luv to see an area show but they aren't playing anywhere close. I have the blu-ray from Paris & its pretty good.

i've met Neil a few times over the years. he's an extremely nice guy. great sense of humour. think he could get along with anyone.
-
with Mike Campbell too! i don't think this will be a train wreck.

i like shiny happy people. it was a good fit on the record. REM at their worst was still better than most bands best. to earlier post: i saw wilco open for REM too. could've been the venue (ancient small stadium) but didn't seem like they were at their best. think there was a lot of tension simmering that blew up not too long after. conversely, REM were fantastic.

they're right up there. i'd have to think on that one.

i'm with you. i was into them from "chronic town" on. luckily saw them a real lot including a private show in a studio in vancouver. sat about 5 feet away from michael stipe during the set. it was filmed for AOL sessions. i've found a few vids on youtube but not the whole show. you can see my feet, haha. although i miss them, i'm kind of glad they packed it in when they did rather than continue when they weren't feeling it anymore. it seems that relations are ok with the guys in the band nowadays & i wouldn't be shocked if they played again. i don't see them doing a big mega reunion tour t
