  1. Oh man, that is a bummer. He was supposed to be here again a few weeks ago, but his plane got snowed in, and we got Willie "Big Eyes" Smith instead (he was great...see him if you can!) I was hoping I'd have a chance to see him a second time, but who could complain? At 97, he sure had a good long run. RIP, Pinetop.
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAjL7X-LCU8 Pretty good radio station, so far.
  3. I would, especially if you like Eno. Spinning Away and The River are amazing, and Empty Frame has almost a Beach Boys vibe. I love those songs.
  4. How do you feel about Caribbean Sunset? I'm listening to that this afternoon.
  5. Kiss my aura ... Dora ... M-M-M ... it's real angora Would y'all like some more-a? Right here on the flora? An' how 'bout you, Fauna? Y'wanna?
  6. If that Wayback machine ever gets up and running, that's where I'm going...all over Europe in '66 & '67 to see Syd and the boys. Then a bit further back for a whole bunch of classic quartet Coltrane shows!
  7. Lot of the same people for me, too. Frank Zappa Grateful Dead Warren Zevon The Who w/Entwhistle Abbey Lincoln Freddie Hubbard
  8. Zappa had a bunch: Shall We Take Ourselves Seriously? What's New In Baltimore? Don't You Ever Wash That Thing? Why Don'tcha Do Me Right? Would You Go All The Way? Why Does It Hurt When I Pee? Eddie, Are You Kidding? Honey, Don't You Want A Man Like Me? Are You Hung Up? Who Needs The Peace Corps? What's The Ugliest Part of Your Body? How Could I Be Such A Fool? Would You Like A Snack? A few more: Paul Weller - Has My Fire Really Gone Out? Hendrix - Are You Experienced? Dylan - Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window? Supremes - Where Did Our Love Go? Lennon - How Do You Sleep?
  9. The fact that he is hilarious also makes the show worth watching...otherwise, not so much. The f*ck a duck thing was laugh out loud funny.
  10. Suites, I just found this post of yours and it cracked me up. I went to that Gainesville show in 2002, and it was the best Wilco show I have ever seen...but I'm still jealous, because you caught the Palm Beach show: I've never seen We've Been Had live!
  11. If I ran a church, I could probably live with hearing this every Sunday.
  12. I have You Can't Win, and I second the motion. Interested to hear the new one.

  15. Used CDs in particular are still selling quite well, at least online. I just bought a couple today. I also resell on Amazon, and even though it's on a very limited basis, from a very small inventory, I've had 45 sales in the past year.
  16. I agree with you completely, and posted about this a while back in another thread. Let's see, legacy of the 80s: that would be Blondie, Pat Benatar, Styx, Kansas, Foreigner...mainly acts that have either gone belly up or now play at state fairs. Legacy of the 90s: probably Pearl Jam, a band I always thought was pretty boring when I heard them, and never understood the appeal of. I finally saw Eddie Vedder on TV after they had been popular a couple of years, and thought, Oh, I get it. He's a poor man's Jim Morrison!
  17. I have seen Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin with Pinetop Perkins. He also toured with Muddy Waters back in the 70s. He's worth seeing, but definitely check out Joan Osborne's band. I saw her as guest vocalist with The Dead around 2003 and she really is a true professional.
  18. Surprised this didn't pop up yet. You get to see Paul Simon play air bass at 3:45. Too bad he didn't let the guy make a cameo.
  19. Paul McCartney, Miami, FL, 4/3/10 Roger Waters, Tampa, FL, 11/16/10 Wilco, Clearwater, FL, 3/23/2010 Elton John & Leon Russell, Lakeland, FL, 11/21/10 Aerosmith, 1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheatre, Tampa, FL, 8/7/10
