I hear ya. It's always fun to root for the Cubs, but I have to root against them this October. What's up with the NLDS not being on TBS or FOX or TNT or whatever? Only on "FS1/MLBN" and I'm pretty sure I don't have FS1.

That is weird.

Politics 2016 (election edition)

Clinton will win. Lefties, think of all the nervous energy and sweat worrying about McCain/Palin in 08 and, to a lesser extent Mitt/Ryan in 12. Clinton is a terrible candidate compared to Obama, but the country is not so bipolar that people who went for him wouldn't go for her, especially with the moral question of potentially helping her opponent get into the White House. -

I'd also like to point out here that Prince's 'Hits' doesn't have Batdance on it. That is, Prince was so incredible that his label put out a 36-track greatest hits compilation and left off a #1 hit. -

I don't think I've ever read a more worthless piece on Pitchfork, and that's saying something. -

Prince put out a 3-disc greatest hits compilation and if you were from another planet and didn't know any Prince songs, you probably wouldn't guess that the 3rd disc is entirely comprised of b-sides. The Beastie Boys from Paul's Boutique through Ill Communication had a string of b-sides that rivaled any of their album tracks. The Vibes and Skills To Pay The Bills in particular are as good as any of their songs. -
Reading this blew my mind for exactly a second.

I saw that once. Pretty bad huh?

Oh well that's typical Wilco for ya, milking its fans of their money.

I've come around to thinking that for Trump supporters it's less about a hatred of Hillary and more about simply wanting an asshole to be in the Oval Office. -
After seeing the announcement of Wilco Schmilco, looking at the cover, reading the release date, and hearing two songs so far, I have to believe that once Sept 9th comes around, there's no way I'll rank the Wilco albums in any order other than this: AM BT ST YHF AGIB SBS WTA TWL SW WS

That's awesome.

Watched that a couple of months ago. Yep, still a blast.

I think the strategy of stuffing out-of-the-park speeches steeped in full-throated endorsements of Hillary as a lead-in to her speech could work in her favor. So much goodwill toward her has been built up now, she may not need as much of a stellar performance than she would have if the convention was less successful so far.
