By popular demand...albums you hate by artists you love.

I'm curious which songs. It can't be Sirens. That song sounds like Eddie Vedder sold his soul to the devil to get on AC radio. -

You're not the first person to say something like this. I don't know what happened?! The "Avocado" album was pretty amazing. I'm not sure which R.E.M. album I'd put up in this list. I'd really have to look at the track listing for any album after New Adventures In Hi-Fi. Edited after my lil trip to Wiki: Well, the fact that I completely forgot that Collapse Into Now existed or if I even listened to it achieves the status. You can easily take the best tracks from Up, Reveal, Around The Sun, and Accelerate to make one fine playlist. -

Radiohead - Hail To The Thief : There's a great EP in here by keeping 6 tracks. I don't hate this, but it is my least fave of their excellent output. It evokes an uneasy feeling in me, much like putting on Apocalypse Now. I do give them credit for being able to do that to me. Pearl Jam - Backspacer: I don't think I've ever laughed at a song, upon hearing it for the first time, from a band that I admire. Johnny Guitar made me laugh and I thought that it was some sort of satire. Kind of unforgettable tracks. I'm looking at the list and I don't remember how certain songs go. Pearl Jam - Lightni -
I should hope so! As much as I love trekking across the beautiful state of Massachusetts for Solid Sound, they really need to play Boston as soon as possible. A New Hampshire or Maine date wouldn't hurt either. I'm guessing these new dates will be in October and November.

Thanks for the ballpark lists. I went onto my Maps App on my iPhone and started making some very early plans for making this a reality. I have it pretty good. I only need to go west and south. I wanted to chit chat about Lucchino leaving. I wanted to discuss Farrell's diagnosis. And I was shocked that Dombrowski was brought in already with Cherington stepping down. All of these seem linked to the above post with the exception of Farrell's health. One of the reasons why I chose not to discuss this was because who wants to hear about a last place Red Sox team while we're in the midst of this

The ballparks that I have been to…. Fenway Park Yankee Stadium (old) - They were actually filming For Love Of The Game. Most likely b roll footage, since they were playing the Tigers. Skydome - I don't remember too much about Toronto, since I was only 10 years old when I went here. However, I'll never sit way up in the upper decks ever again. I saw Frank Thomas hit a ball that hit the window of the Hard Rock Cafe during b.p. Parc de Olympique - cartoons on the big screen. "Chien cho" must mean hot dogs because that's all that I ever heard. Probably the biggest ballpark in terms of just bein

KevinG, I anxiously await your review of MLB ballparks. Do you have a blog? I think 2016 is the year that I try to do it.

I won 2 years in a row in a league that my best friend got me into with his coworkers. They never even met me because I retired. I'd be interested to join with I Don't Believe In Touchdowns. Or is that too easy?

Public Enemy: Live From Metropolis Studios - I put this one on the other night and loved their performance which was intercut with interview footage. Chuck D yells out to someone in the crowd "I see you out there, man. I'm gonna get you up here to sing some Oasis shit." Lo & behold, it's actually Liam Gallagher in the crowd. Great setlist. Currently on Showtime platforms. I've also started Comedy Central's Review with Andrew Daly (Eastbound & Down's Principal Cutler) which is hilarious and I can't wait to see them all. The setup is Daly takes "viewer" emails that ask him to experienc

Yes! The 6th collaboration for him with Scorcese.

Not all of the live songs have the recording date listed.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/08/10/hall-of-fame-game-generates-big-tv-ratings/ Sorry. I couldn't find the NFL thread. Anyways, this news sickens me to the core. This article states that this joke of a preseason game on Sunday night between the Vikings & Steelers without Big Ben or Adrian Peterson drew a 6.9 rating. This means that it did better than the most recent ALCS Game 1, NLCS Game 1, NHL Stanley Cup Final game 6, NBA Western Conference Final Game 1, NBA Eastern Conference Final Game 1 and the Indy 500. I didn't watch it. I watched all of the above sporting events

I saw Joel Edgerton's The Gift which was one of the best thrillers that I've seen in a long time. I feel like I can't add anything else without giving away something that would ruin the experience. Definitely on my year end list. Another great film from an Australian who wears 4 different hats like a fine skilled craftsman, but is actually a feature directing debut.

I can take a picture of the liner notes with my iPhone. Is this what you're looking for? Or do you want just the live tracks liner notes? I'll leave it like this for now. There are a bunch more, but I don't want to fill up this whole thread with pics of liner notes. I'll look into PMing them to you or using the spoiler feature. They're .jpg format.

Thanks! I saw the replay of this this morning. I thought that they were fighting over the last piece of Dubble Bubble.

A few trades went under the radar today: Red Sox traded Mike Napoli to the Rangers where I'm assuming he will platoon with Prince Fielder and Mitch Moreland. Nap won't have a similar press conference like Victorino had a few weeks ago. I think he was sent off to Seattle right before the game tonight. Indians sent Nick Swisher and Michael Bourn to the Braves for 3B Chris Johnson. And I was watching the Red Sox-Tigers game on mute with Wilco going on from Outside Lands & I saw Jose Iglesias getting into a shoving match with James McCann in the dugout. I'm not sure what happened.

Edit: This sound mix is quite amazing! You could really hear Mikael on You Satellite more than Pitchfork which was actually 3 weeks ago tonight. Weird! This is becoming a nice pattern. It looks like this is running 9-1015 EST. Set so far: (More…assuming it was played) Random Name Generator (caught tail end of this) The Joke Explained You Satellite Taste The Ceiling Pickled Ginger Where Do I Begin Cold Slope King Of You Magnetized Handshake Drugs I Am Trying To Break Your Heart Art Of Almost Via Chicago Box Full Of Letters Heavy Metal Drummer I'm The Man Who Loves You Impossible Germany I

No. M4 is on my list to see. I don't recall seeing that on NetFlix. I feel like it's on one of the pay channel's on demand selections. Sound Of My Voice looked interesting too. Brit Marling has been great in the stuff that I've seen her.

I use XAct (X Audio Compression Toolkit) for file conversions and it's relatively easy. The icon is a musical note with a hairy looking someone. Simply enter the FLAC files into the Decode portion and you can choose whether you want them to come out as .AIFF or .WAV. An issue that I ran into for some U2 shows this year was when I tried to transfer all the files at once and it wouldn't let me, so I had to do them one at a time. But to save some time I had them wind up on my desktop for easy retrieval. PM me if you have issues. I'm sure that there's a better program out there that actually

I might look to buy that if I like the film. Yes, that was a great film. It had quite a magnetic quality to it. I was hooked from that opening scene. Leland Orser is overdue for some type of villain role in all of the comic book movies.

The pilot is still on Amazon Prime, if you're subscribed to that. There is supposedly the 2nd episode somewhere online. I'm guessing this will premiere fall or early next year.
-
Thanks! I'll have to watch it on YouTube. It was a very bizarre coincidence on Facebook. Someone mentioned this film on a movie page in response to the upcoming Amazon series The Man In The High Castle. That's about what would have happened if the Nazis won WWII. I totally forgot that I watched the pilot this winter and voted for it to get the greenlight. Also, someone posted a thank you recommendation of Born In Flames on a video store in Maine that has a ton of rare stuff: Videoport. I'm a huge fan of alternate reality stories: Watchmen, Fringe and Superman: Red Son. Oh! What region
-
Have you seen Born In Flames (1983)? I have not, but it was brought to my attention last night on social media. The plot sounds very interesting and timely: documentary-style feminist science fiction film by Lizzie Borden that explores racism, classism, sexism and heterosexism in an alternative United States socialist democracy

That rascal! He hasn't double crossed me yet, but his behavior has ruined several shows that my friends saw over the years. Oh well! I've already discussed stuff like that earlier in the thread. Tough to like a guy that disrespects Neil Finn and Janis Ian in the same room.
