100s & 100s of Wilco tickets in the hands of scalpers
u2roolz replied to Divemistress of the Dark's topic in Just A Fan
I notified Wilco's Facebook page and the Boston Police about 3 separate ticket listings (all in Row A) for the Wang Theatre show looking for $375 for a pair. It'll be interesting to see if Wilco's team can get the tickets revoked. -
Hey, have you tried to contact businesses/websites that can create posters from .jpg or .gif files? I mean, you have the image. All that you have to do is get that image onto a poster. I imagine you could save it onto a Flash Drive or email it to the businesses that do it and they could manipulate the image to make it bigger and print it onto nice poster material paper. Has anyone done this? I'm sure that it can be done. There used to be Prints Plus in malls across this country that took about any image and framed it, laminated it etc.

So you were shootin' out tickets before Ticketron was.

They played it at Tanglewood in 2008 when they were with the Total Pros to do the horns. It was the only time I've seen it and it was amazing.

It's like Batman & The Joker and Red Sox & Yankees fans. -
Shake It Off always sounded like a commercial jingle for shedding pounds or for shredded cheese.

There you go. You both aren't the lonely one.

I did some digging and only found 2 pairs of tickets for the Wang Theater show on Ebay {This show had the least amount of listings for the fall tour. A lot of the tix on Craigslist led to outside links that specifically stated "no inventory" which leads me to believe that some scalpers are trying to figure out how to go around the will call situation}. They were both Row A $500 for the pair on Ebay. 4 tickets all in Row A. Yeah, that's not fishy at all. I wondered how they would provide sending the purchaser the goods. It looks like they tell you that they will meet you in a designated area an -
Well, the Wang Theatre just emailed the password for their venue presale that happened yesterday. Thanks knotgreen for the link. Anyone else just get an email from them?

I found a beautiful place to watch both nights (mainly I was looking for shelter from the downpour) between Courtyard C and the bridge. I swear that I saw someone with a monitor watching live footage. It looked like it was either under or behind the stands on Pat's side. Other than that I saw no video cameras.

Hmm. Well, it certainly felt abandoned. Last setlist was 14 months ago. I'd like to see what happens with it in the future.

I first heard Wilco in late 2002. Right around the time that they were about to play the Boston Orpheum. I almost went but had to work that night. I wasn't too bummed out because I only knew a bit of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. {I should mention that I play that bootleg a lot. Great sound} Around that time I went to a lot of shows of newer bands like Doves (who had My Morning Jacket open for them), Coldplay & Ash (remember them?), Gomez, Pete Yorn (WORST STAGE PRESENCE EVER!!), The Music, The Vines, The Strokes, The White Stripes etc. In the summer of 2003, a lot of live music was coming my w

This was the much better game in my opinion : The American Dreams had Hall Of Famers who all hit HRs almost every time. Easy play maneuvering. An All-Female team and Japanese team too. I'd buy a Nintendo system just to play this game. -
**Boston / Citi Wang's Pre/Post Show Party 9/20**

Yes. It is 9 seats in from the middle. But 11 from the wall. By Public Transportation: The most convenient MBTA stops to The Wang Theatre and The Shubert Theatre are the Orange Line/New England Medical Center stop and the Green Line/Boylston Street stop. Both are located one block away from the theatres. The Red Line/Park Street stop is two blocks north of the theatres on Tremont Street. Parking: There are several parking lots located near the theatres: The Tremont Street Garage adjacent to The Wang Theatre; the parking lot at the corner of Tremont and Stuart Streets; the 57 Hotel on Stua -

Do you want to turn this into where VCers will be on this amazing September night in Boston? We have amongst us (3 friends who were all at the Orpheum show last April and many more shows before that) from today's presale: Mezz Row A Seat 113 Mezz Row A Seat 101 (kind of nice how that worked out) Left Orchestra Row J Seat 17. (my seat No, I'm sure we'll fight it out on Tremont St.) -
Those are closer to the wall according to the seating chart that popped up in the ticket window. 41 touches the wall being the last seat. Edit: Likewise, trying to sell or trade off tix for this show is going to be a huge pain in the ass because everyone has Will Call.
-
What's your seat #? If you are closer to the middle of orchestra then you should be fine.

What I remember about The Wang : If you are "pinned" on either side you may not see the far right or far left of the stage. So you may not see Mikael Jorgensen or Pat Sansone do their thing on the keyboards. You may see their keyboards, but not them if that makes sense to you. It's a lot like the Orpheum. I had an aisle seat for Orchestra Row G and my Safari crash while I was putting in my credit card info. Safari so bad. I wound up splitting up my friends because 3 seats together was only pulling up balcony. We have amongst us from today's presale: Mezz Row A Seat 113.......Mezz Row A Sea

Hey, I made this same joke in the Fall Tour Announcement thread when people kept asking for a Chicago show. Would you jump off Marina Towers for front row Wilco tix?
