  1. Yet. The guy is more interested in being a rock star than a working musician. So he'll do anything to get his picture in the paper. Next - Billy getting out of car with no panties.
  2. Remember to remember me Standing still in your past Floating fast like a hummingbird
  3. Slightly off topic - when I went to see Springsteen in Philly, I saw Point Breeze. In fact, I said to the guy I was with "hey, Point Breeze". Meant nothing to him.
  4. I've been waiting for somebody to step up here - time to get this out of the way. I'd give my right arm to be in Def Leppard.
  5. Maybe I'm fooling myself too but I'm thinking you are right and the whole "investigation continues" business is more of a scare tactic than anything. They have effectively killed this one and I suspect that the best use of their resources is to go after the next Oink rather than somebody who downloaded the Feist album (not that I'm suggesting downloading the Feist album is a bad thing, unless you..... never mind)
  6. I had tickets in 1977 but Robert Plant's son died and the rest of the tour was cancelled. Looking back, I regret sending my $9 ticket back for a refund.
  7. I saw the show in Buffalo the night after Cincinnati. I got hurt but not seriously.
  8. Your taste is impecable. Never saw Bill Nelson but did see Be Bop Deluxe at the Gardens. Not a great place to see them but a very good show (they opened for somebody dreadful as I recall)
  9. Keith Richard's CNIB benefit with the Rolling Stones, Oshawa
  10. Ramones - El Mocambo Cheap Trick - El Mocambo Springsteen at Convention Hall, Asbury Park Elvis Costello - El Mocambo Who with Moon Rush - Banting Memorial High School
  11. This is a bragging thread, right: Talking Heads at Horseshoe Clash at Rex Danforth Music Hall REM at Larry's
  12. This was the night my worlds collided. Didn't think I'd be witness to the passing of the torch but there I was. Had I been in Montreal the possibility of this probably would have occured to me but being in Ottawa, it never remotely crossed my mind. Through some very good luck and the Springsteen "pit lottery system" I had a prime spot for this, standing to the right and a little in front of the person who shot the video. Wow.
  13. Philly, Oct 6: Night Radio Nowhere Prove It All Night Gypsy Biker Magic Reason to Believe The Ties That Bind She's the One Livin' in the Future The Promised Land Town Called Heartbreak Incident on 57th Street Cadillac Ranch Devil's Arcade The Rising Last to Die Long Walk Home Badlands Girls in Their Summer Clothes Thundercrack Born to Run Dancing in the Dark American Land Incident and full band/bullet mic Reason to Believe alone worth the drive to Philadelphia. Thundercrack a huge bonus. Very very good show.

    banter

I had a collection of Paul Stanley banter. It wasn't something I listened to often but it was pretty amazing.
  15. This is really more of a commentary on me than Matthew Good but I heard about him and from him before I ever heard his music. I heard enough negative stuff said about him, and arrogant stuff he said himself, that I've never been at all interested in hearing his music. So none of this surprises me and I'm still not interested in hearing him. Which could very well be my loss. I'm shallow.
  16. Canadians will be familiar with Jane Sibbery. Not on any kind of par with Radiohead certainly but she bought out her rights and her discography has been available on a "pay whatever you want" basis for a couple of years.
  17. Any price if you download it. $1.27 if you like. However, if you want a "hard copy" you get vinyl and CDs. For $80. Standard industry practice. I have read this 3 times now. If you asked me in 45 seconds what the different configurations are, I wouldn't be able to tell you.
  18. What's the word on this? I was quite fond of So Much for the City and then never managed to hear the next one
  19. I have a general aversion to scalpers and think you should be able to get tickets at cost if you make a good effort. PM me if you want me to direct you to places where that kind of thing could happen. At any rate, before you go that route, you should wait at least until after the first few dates on the tour to get an idea of how many tickets are dropped the day of the show at the box office. There seems to be some indication that many tickets sold on the on-sale date were not the best and many prime seats were held back. I would guess at this point, without knowing for sure, that your cha
  20. Seeing Bruce at Convention Hall is like seeing the Beatles in Hamburg or something. Not a great analogy but it's pretty magic (no, I wasn't there last night and won't be there tonight). For those of you in the swamps, there is also a rehersal show at Continental Airline Arena Friday night. This would be more like seeing the Beatles in an aircraft hanger.
