Cracker are a great band, you will not regret going to see them. Johnny and David are brilliant together. The latest album, Greenland, is well worth picking up too.

The term itself, to me, brings to mind a mid 90's period mostly. So with that in mind I would recommend The Jayhawks, Son Volt, Lambchop, Freakwater, Gillian Welch among others.
