  1. the first time I heard this was the night before Thanksgiving at the Riv, 2001....Love it!
  2. What's going to be left for tomorrow night ?...my only night.....I'm really enjoying this tonight though. I really can't wait for tomorrow night!! I hope there are a lot of repeats..
  3. I'll sincerely miss this magazine. We've subscribed for years. Always read it cover to cover as soon as I got it. Found a lot of new artists I'd not heard of before....and you gotta love the chapters in it - "Box full of Letters", "Screen Door", among others..
  4. Just a reminder to those so inclined....Gary's new cd "Vagabonds" comes out today! I think it's a thing of beauty and couldn't be more pleased, even if I am a little biased.
  5. Thank you so much for posting (and for the recording) these mps3's. They sound wonderful! Can't wait for tomorrow night...... finally..... except I think I may freeze..
  6. Oh, you kids... 60 is not so old, believe me, I know... I'll be there Wed night....
  7. How are they going to bring back Tony? Didn't he die, on camera?

Darn...I knew Jessy was touring with the Foos. Sorry I missed seeing her up with that big crowd they had... She's really a beautiful girl and a great musician..

I loved seeing Jeff and Sue there!
  11. She's also very sweet in person... I love the Everybodyfields....they had a new record this year too...very good
  12. No, we didn't get either one of those skits....guess we got shortchanged! The whole show was a lot of fun though...the audience was really into it too.. Aimee sounded terrific, no cold symptoms yet.
  13. I saw her in Chicago a week ago today. It was really a fun show, enjoyed it immensely and it was before her cold overtook her . What did you think of the Hanukkah Fairy? I read somewhere it offended some people, but I found it funny, kind of what Aimee's humor is like.
  14. Thanks Paul! I think you are living everyone's dream......
  15. No sarcasm heard here. Jeff sounded very sincere to me. Very nice gesture for John's family to hear this. Thanks for the link!
  16. darn...that's a great looking magnet. So sorry we didn't get one when we entered. Had I know I would have looked for them at another entry..... Oh well, great show anyway.
  17. What's this about magnets? Were they for sale or were they giving them out as you came in (because we didn't get anything when we entered....)
  18. First, Wow, what a great night of music! Something for every Wilco fan.... Yeah, everyone was standing from the start and singing in our area too...section 205...but there was a couple in front of me (even though they stood) who came in late, and left early (thankfully) and talked constantly during the show and didn't clap once...ughhh... it was so annoying, I was so glad when they left, plus it gave me a better view... but, enough grumbling.... Such a GREAT show, the mix of old and new sounded perfect! The setting; gorgeous, sound; the same, weather; loved it!....Awesome setlist,
  19. I have both the Merriweather and the Chastain Park shows and I love them both, but think the Chastain one has the better sound quality.
  20. Have a very Happy Birthday Jeff! Thank you for all you do for your fans..
  21. Hi Louie! We saw Mark on Mon night and really enjoyed the show! I hear the crowd was a little bigger last night, so you can imagine how small it was Mon night.........I felt bad for them. His band is really good, he commented to me after the show how this is the best band he's had (I hope he wasn't counting the Jayhawks in there....I'm sure he wasn't). That Michele from Italy the fiddle player was excellent, I couldn't take my eyes off him. Quite the performer! I'm glad you enjoyed the show!
  22. We saw the show at Old Town on Sat. night. Also say Louie waiting outside. I guess he didn't make it in. It was a wonderful show! I can't repeat how much I loved it. Beautiful songs, beautiful harmonies, and Glen has such a powerful voice, first time I'd seen him in person, he was great! Marketa is a cutie, very shy, but they were both very nice after the show, signing and talking with us. Loved his story-telling between songs and the accent.... I know all their shows are sold out, but hopefully they'll come back to the US soon.
  23. Well, here I am replying to my own post. I did try again today and got section 205 seats, row NN. While I know they're not the best, I'm happy just to be in the pavillion. It will be my first time there and also at Millenium Park! Being from way out of Chicago, we're just never been there before... Sorry to anyone I offended yesterday with my rant. It's always so hectic ordering on line, I don't know if you all are the same as me, but I get shaking and really tense trying to find tickets..... That doesn't excuse my language, nor the fact that I was dissing new fans. I'm so glad Wi
