  1. i found this one from the red carpet http://bit.ly/wstii0
  2. rhett miller did a cover of Tower Of Song: apparently there's a Cohen covers record coming out sometime soon.
  3. I did it at the Ryman too... and Atlanta...
  4. "People should be allowed to marry other people. People, however should not be allowed to marry goats." - my Dad If you love somebody and want to commit to them through marriage, go for it! Why does gender even matter? Hoping government peoples will wise up about this... law should not have the power to override an individual's rights to love one another. In my state it is illegal for a same sex couple to wed, but totally OK for 1st cousins... uh... what?
  5. It's March 10th. 39 days away. Currently researching d.i.y programs.
  6. I love the way Jeff sings, because it's emotional. If the note is sharp or flat, who cares. It's awesome because he feels the music. It's awesome because he's singing the best he can every time he sings. That's one reason I connect with Wilco's music so much. Also, the midwestern accent kinda makes me swoon... I'm weird.
  7. Hey guys, I figure I would update you all on the wedding plans. We found an amazing venue for the wedding AND reception called Stone Fort Inn. It's been around in Chattanooga since 1902. We were able to book it for an afternoon (2pm to 4pm) for about $300 (it's usually $600). We are going to have the wedding catered by the place where Matt and I ended up on our 1st official date... Good Dog. They're a hot dog restaurant with all kinda of awesome hot dogs (www.eatatgooddog.com if you wanna check them out). I ordered the invitations through vista print. They're actually postcards, but I th
  8. Donna, so far I love it. The camera is awesome. The video mode is awesome. It's all of my separate gadgets in 1 simple machine. Used it to photograph the Old 97's 2 weeks ago, and took some of the best concert shots I've ever taken. Also really nice to be able to check email without worrying about wi-fi I just wish we had a VC app.
  9. thanks for ripping! think i'm gonna listen to this one in the car on the way home tomorrow.
  10. I think it's good. For some reason, to me, it's not immediately as catchy... gonna keep spinning it.
  11. I remember that too. Very awesome. Please share the rest of the emails, Donna! (also, I can log in!)
  12. I went to Athens this weekend to see the Old 97's. I had never seen the band in Athens, so I didn't know what to expect. Turns out the band doesn't have a lot of friends in the city, and the show had kind of a low turn out. This was my 21st 97's show, and they didn't disappoint. My mom and I got to town early enough to eat before the show, and Rhett actually walked by when we were in the diner and came in for a bit. It was a really funny coincidence. He said I could come to sound check, and I ended up being the only non-crew person there, so I got sort of a private 5 song mini-set. Murry a
  13. I love this song live. I was spazzing out when they played it in Atlanta this year. Purposefully, for about 3 weeks at school in the fall of 09 I would park next to a Nova every day. It was white though.
  14. I love radio contests. I used to call in all the time when I was a kid. My dad used to get stuff from the radio nearly every week when he had a desk job. He got to be known on the station for a time, and my sister and i thought he was so famous. That's cool you win so much, PopTodd.
  15. I removed my answers in case I spoil it.... I knew all of these from having various bootlegs of different shows by different bands
  16. I bit the bullet and bought an iPhone 4S today. No stores anywhere in Chattanooga had them in stock, so I had to order it through a Verizon store (though I went with a Satellite store as opposed to the full-blown Verizon store, because the people that work in that store are all mean, bitter, and not in the least bit helpful). The lady in the IPT Cellular store told me my phone will be here by Friday at the latest. Every other store in town said it would take 10+ days. Pretty happy with the purchase. Also got an Otterbox defender case. From the looks of FedEx it should get here tomorrow afterno
  17. The set list is almost identical to the set they did on Tiny Desk and Daytrotter. I wonder if they're the standard "acoustic" versions they've done? I'll preview before I buy, but the collector in me knows I'll buy it just to have it.
  18. from Wilco's Facebook: The next Solid Sound Festival will be held June 21-23, 2013 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Ma. The three-day event will take a one-year hiatus in 2012, but Wilco will perform at the North Adams, MA museum this summer in a concert to benefit MASS MoCA. The exact date of the benefit concert will be announced shortly. http://solidsoundfestival.com/
  19. if you're looking for super old stuff i doubt many old timers here want to give their stuff up. however if you're ever in south east tennessee check good wills. my dumb ass gave a bunch of wilco shirts to goodwill without knowing until it was too late. some from summer teeth era that i will never see again. still tore up about it.
  20. Be careful with reptiles in general, because in some states it is illegal to keep them as pets, and also if you go the reptile route make sure you go through a reputable dealer, some pet companies don't have good practices with reptiles, and the animals are often mistreated. Easten Box Turtles are great, and on an average they live 10 years. Have you ever considered a leopard gecko or any sort of lizard? They are fairly common commercial reptiles kept for pets. On average they live 10 years in captivity if they've got a good diet and stuff. They require heat lamps, and an enclosure with san
