Paul McCartney Bridgestone Arena 10-16-2014 - this was the concert of a lifetime for me because the Beatles are my reason for liking every bit of music I like to this day. They're the band that made me start playing guitar when I was 11. Paul is my favorite Beatle, so I was stoked to even get to go, but my husband pulled a fast one and got us the soundcheck VIP tickets, so I ended up getting to be 3 rows from the stage in the center and I made eye contact with a freaking Beatle. Nothing will ever top it. Wilco Thomas Wolfe Auditorium Asheville, NC 10-14-2005 - first Wilco show ever. They

Oh my gosh I am so excited! The preview tune on iTunes is great. Let's hope they let us hear it before September.

I think we have good sidewalk karma. I'm so glad you guys made it to the show. It's always fun to run into you! -
I loved Wilco's tweet about the situation telling the jerk to save his dollars next time by not buying a ticket to their show. Absolutely perfect.

I kinda thought last night was more fun. The crowd around me last night was markedly better behaved than night 1 except for the guy on my right yelling "Land Ho!" at Jeff a couple times. That was dumb. I dunno why people insist on telling stuff at the band at shows. The excitement around where I was was fantastic during the loud rock parts. Electric "Spiders" was so good. I'm glad they played it. Also "Star Wars" is a ton of fun live. It's every bit as enthralling as the album is, except with the great benifet of being louder (unless you've got humongous speakers!). One thing I noticed l -

The person with the chicken sweater was a guy. He and his wife were really nice, even though he tried to take video. -
Had my Wilco ski hat stolen from pocket during Atlanta show.

Damn. I know it sucks. I have one of those and I would be bummed too if I lost it. They had another style boggin at the merch table tonight. I know it can't replace the one you lost, but it looked really nice -

I hope we get Spiders tomorrow. Excellent show. I can't say anything else that would add anything. It was one of the hardest shows for me to get through for several reasons. I cried harder than I every have cried. Not much banter at all. -

Anybody else planning to be in line early in ATL?

Awesome! I always like to meet VC folks. I feel like maybe we'd met before at the Fox Theater maybe?

Wilco — 1/29/16, Boston, MA (Orpheum Theatre) [Night 1 of 2]

I laughed at "unexpected Jesus Etc." -
I don't think we will have to worry about overcrowding too much. The couple shows I've seen there were sold out, and we were close to the front. It didn't feel too crowded. The only wilco show I ever felt too crowded at was Sloss Furnace in 2012. I think we're gonna try to get to the tabernacle around noon both days.

What a bunch of horse manure. That dude needs something better to do.
-
Good to know. I think our plan tentatively is early afternoon. Hoping it will be easy to get up front. What's in the area now? Last time we saw a show there we ate at the CNN center food court.
-
We have GA tickets both nights. Wondering what time we should plan to be there to achieve a front row spot? I've never been to a weekday show at the tabernacle, and I can't remember a lot about it. I was last there 4 years ago for Rufus Wainwright. I'm looking forward to these shows more than anything else going on in my life right now. So far 2016 is the worst.

Kid sister bailed on me. Hoping to re-home an extra ticket to the Thursday Wilco show at the Tabernacle in ATL. We can meet there or I can mail the ticket to you, as it is a physical ticket. $55 is what I paid after fees.

that's an awful blurb. Jeff is nothing like Han.

Wow. This thread came back! I love them too. They're my sister's favorite band. Like her wilco.
