Harry Potter dies at the end of On & On & On. Sorry.

We watched Babel this weekend. It was okay.

I didn't hear A.M. until 2002 (aside from "I Must Be High" on college radio), and I like it just fine. Couldn't tell you how it would be if I had bought it back when it came out, though. FWIW, I bought Trace not long after it was released and I still love it.

Likewise. I think The Satanic Verses is next for me, though.

For each section there should be a link at the bottom right-ish (just below each picture) that says "download," and points to the .mp3. Right click that and choose "save to disk."

I have Virginia winning the whole thing because I think it's plausible, but mostly because I went there. Having dropped their last two games to crappy ACC teams has me worried, but I guess it could be a motivator.

Beatles album that never was

I'm sorry nostalgic people piss you off. I'm also sorry that you seem to have a problem with people having fun in a way that doesn't affect you at all. -

No, I don't miss the point. I disagree with you. I say if there's an audience for it, they should put on the concert and why should you care if they do? You say they shouldn't do it because it's pathetic, because it's not original. It's a tribute band, and a very good one. No more and no less. And there's nothing wrong with that. -

I can't even understand how would someone be interested to care whether such a concert happens. I find that pathetic. -
Army orders injured troops back to Iraq

I think they would probably rather trade being at war in the first place. That's where the money is going that should be providing them with armor and/or medical services. -

Actually, the thing in music that everyone should understand is, if you like it, you like it. Why should you care if someone else wants to watch this concert? -
You're right. I'm sorry. You've molested me yet again.

It sure took you long enough to come up with a rationalization for your being wrong in the opening post.

I believe that.

You're not even trying to follow the directions.

Yeah, orange bell pepper, green pepper, onion, garlic, celery and green onions. Um, one pound of boneless skinless chicken thighs (breasts were called for in the recipe, but I think it turned out great) one and a half pounds of garlic & herb chicken sausage from whole foods, four slices of Oscar Meyer center cut bacon. Five cups chicken broth, four cups rice. Salt, pepper, garlic salt, garlic pepper, 1 tsp thyme, 1 tsp oregano and a bunch (about 2 tablespoons) of this cajun spice mix that Jen's sister makes. No fil

It's pretty good, but a little salty for my mildly hung over head to deal with. Look at all that meat. Banjo appears to agree. Anyone else?

It's an .mp3. You can play it on any platform that plays .mp3s.

No, I get you, and I hope you didn't take my post as an attack. I just kind of took your post as "if you don't read/take into account this information, you're not qualified to have an opinion." Which I know you weren't trying to say.

You can blame the original poster for that, not Jay fans. He's the one who made the thread about Nels vs. Jay.

I like Recovering the Satellites better, but I agree about them going on to suck later. I also have some Letters to Cleo on my iPod. And a ton of Weird 'Al' that I rarely listen to.

Good point. I don't think Essox has been around since August.

That's five words.

Great post, Mike. Why should it be required reading, though? Why should I have to read something to know how to enjoy an album? If it's good music, it's good music - regardless of context, right? Sure, knowing the back story can add perspective and depth, but if it's a good album, it's going to hold up whether or not you think about Jeff's state of mind during the writing/recording while you're listening.
