  1. sitting is also for people with bad backs that can't handle the lengthy standing...
  2. at one christmas party in college, someone wrapped up a ficus tree of some sort. that was an unusual one.
  3. there is still one more presale, people. PLUS, if you keep trying, you still might be able to get tickets... credit cards are probably being declined left and right and then those tickets get released. If you tried just once and gave up, you are probably selling yourself short.
  4. ga but there are ga seats in the balcony if, like me, you like to sit at shows. some of the seats are located directly over the a/c vents, which feels nice when it warms up in there.
  5. some of the first wilco shows i went to were ones i went to by myself... across the country. not only is it still fun but it is thrilling to be on the road on your own. plus i met a bunch of great people.
  6. there is an XRT password.. if you are sleuthy enough, it is quite easy to locate.
  7. i'm always extremely concerned about my safety and the area around the riv has never bothered me. and there will be no smoking anywhere after january 1st (thank god, now i don't have to spend the day after with a bottle of febreeze).
  8. I heard on XRT that single nights are $35 a pop.
  9. ew, no. nerds ropes, at least, are a thread of red gummy with TONS of nerds stuck to it.
  10. oooooh. Thanks for explaining, I was so confused. I'm pretty sure I know nothing about music so this is all so hard for me to comprehend. That song still has the lamest lyrics in the world, though.
  11. i think i need to get one of these sweetart ropes... nerds ropes are so fantastic, though, i dunno if this could touch it.
  12. i have a fun fact, too! one of wilca's recordings (laminated cat, i believe) was mastered in a rhino studio.
  13. 'Hey there delilah' is a foo fighters song?? It sounds like a 17 year old trying to impress a lame girl from the mall. I don't mind listening to it, though.
  14. Although we decided to get an artificial tree this year (less allergies, less risk of fire, etc), I think the kitty still likes it. The one negative is having to use LED lights on the tree... they just aren't as warm.
  15. holy crap... how does this exist!!! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22041771/
  16. i liked heather at the start but started being a bit of a baby. still, i am totally surprised the blonde with the super crappy hair didn't go. shes no good.
  17. yup- #3! my grandmother moved to houston from nyc in the late 40s and had to take the bus to work. she headed straight to the back of the bus and the driver pulled over, walked back to her and said that she shouldn't sit in that area- that it was for blacks only (she had no idea). she said something to the effect of new yorkers don't think that way, etc, inferring stupidity on the driver's part and she stayed right where she was.
  18. 1. my grandmother was some sort of white rosa parks 2. my neighbors had ike turner over for dinner 3. i've seen a ghost
  19. hahahaha... yeah, she really knows her stuff!!!
  20. no problem. I love how Tyra says "...And the next name I'm going to call is...." instead of just saying the name. I don't care if she's scared of dolphins, she is awesome.
