ction
I was in R.E.M fanclub once. Did you get the special 7" singles?
EL the Famous
It will be interesting to see what they sound like now. from that greatest hits they released in the mid-90's. i like it, but not because of roth...and it illustrates how the lack of mike on this whole thing is a HUGE gap. Analogman
Did you get the special 7" singles? I have one - Silver Bells/? + a whole year of newsletters. I should sell that single - it is still in the sleeve. Gary Cherone - Mean Streets. DLR - Unchained (1981)
Sir Stewart
Man I would enjoy hearing 5150 right now. This happens every time this thread flares up. I would also like to see Diamond spelled correctly in the title.
JUDE
edit: cliquish
EL the Famous
The wife and I entered our wedding reception to THIS. My best man's wedding present to us was two tickets to the Illinois stop of the Balance tour. We first met and bonded over tequila shots and a conversation over Van Halen, so our ties to the Van Hagar era are strong.

Sir Stewart
There's a fabled post-1984 Roth/Halen track called "Eat They Neighbor" which I don't believe anyone's heard.
ction
Hot Summer Nights > * That's one of the songs he used that godawful Stienway guitar on...yuck. Almost as bad as the synthesizer. edit: it's not a stienway...but it's a stien-something. That dopey looking guitar without the headstock.
Analogman
Geddy Lee used one of those also - I think they were all the rage then.
Atticus
i like the guitar on "on fire"
ction
Geddy Lee used one of those also - I think they were all the rage then. Aside from me not liking the way they sounded, there was some deal about that guitar when you could flip the bridge or something and change the tuning. It made trying to learn those songs on guitar impossible (me being awful at guitar didn't help either).
Sir Stewart
Maybe I won't miss Mike that much
Analogman
I wonder how much these are going for.

I wonder how much these are going for. 25 g's http://www.zzounds.com/item--EVH2205150
