Oops sorry Bridg! I meant monkey balls. Sounds like a great time and that's Padme Newsome (sp?) with the violin isn't it? What a madman. I really enjoyed seeing these guys in the spring. Don't think Berringer (again sp!) opened his eyes once and seemed to kill a litre of red wine during the show.
jenbobblehead
I am a little late to The National party, but i'm loving this rekkid.

Beltmann
FYI: The National did a Daytrotter interview last summer. As always, a few songs are available for free. I noticed too late to grab their cover of "Pretty In Pink," which was capped at 5000 downloads. (If anybody happens to have it, I'd love to snag a copy.)

Guest Jules
Can someone describe the proper way of listening to this record? I just don't get it.
a.miller
For me, I listened to it in the car a couple times and really didn't get it. Then, one day at work I kept singing "some tune" in my head. Turned out it was one of the songs on Boxer. Then I listened to it again for about a week straight. If you can, find the White Sessions. I think those recordings may be better than any official releases they have had.

Mystik Spiral
I had to listen to it at least half a dozen times before I realized how great it is. I'm glad I didn't give up.
