blues7739
Do they usually do a pre-sale? I'm desperately trying to get to my first show, and I was wondering what the best way to get tickets would be.

So Long
Bank of America Pavilion - Ew not a huge fan of this venue either. I mean, I'll go, but it's really not a good venue. I'm excited about Pines though!
pnêyu
Oh my god, if my Midwestern friends have schooled me correctly, it appears that Wilco is playing the Quad Cities. Laura, Daniel! We demand representation!
deepseacatfish
Davenport would indeed be the Quad Cities area. I think I will likely be going to that date
parisisstale
JUN-22 RED BANK, NJ COUNT BASIE THEATER JUN-24 NORTHAMPTON, MA THE PINES JUN-25 NEW YORK, NY HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM JUN-28 BOSTON, MA BANK OF AMERICA PAVILION JUN-29 SHELBURNE, VT THE GREEN AT SHELBURNE MUSEUM Wow!!! Hope to make at least 4 of these. I specifically asked for some time off in June hoping they would make an eastern trek right after Bonnaroo. The Pines was awesome last year, and you can't go wrong with an outdoor Vermont show (at least I hope it's outdoors). And 2 years in a row in my old stomping grounds of New Jersey, I can't even believe it!
Tucker
Am I the only person from the Indy area seeing this? YES!!!
SarahC
Holy crap! How in the heck are they playing Chastain Park in Atlanta? That seems like a REALLY big venue for them.... hmm... edit- on inspection of the venue website it looks really cool! (i wonder if i get a family or at least "my last name's the same!" discount? )
Scalzunfield
Am I the only person from the Indy area seeing this? YES!!! I'm totally there man. I probably won't get sleep the night after (I live about 70 miles away and work at 6 am the next morning) but I'm there.
alison the wilca
why don't they play on saturdays
DawgSong
urgh, Chastain in ATL.Sweet venue BUT BUT BUT noise ordinance restrictions, strict curfew, etc.at least it is not part of the Classic Chastain series. just a guess but I thinktables will be removed in the pit, and chairs put down there. I'll be there, and up close so I can hear.

jff
Holy crap! How in the heck are they playing Chastain Park in Atlanta? That seems like a REALLY big venue for them.... hmm... edit- on inspection of the venue website it looks really cool! (i wonder if i get a family or at least "my last name's the same!" discount? ) Chastain Park has a capacity of 6700. Fox Theater (where they played last time) has a capacity of 4400. That's not too big of a jump. However, Chastain is a horrible place to see a show. I predict this will be the one and only time they will play there. The audiences there are notoriously rude to the bands, regardless of who that band is. Ask Neil Young, who had to stop one of his acoustic songs on the Greenville tour and tell the audience to quiet down so he could hear himself. Ask Garrison Keillor, Lyle Lovett, Randy Newman, Ricky Lee Jones or Dan Fogelberg, all of whom have left the stage in frustration (see question # 7 on this link: http://www.cmt.com/news/articles/1535357/0..._garrison.jhtml ) Ask Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull, who was hit with cheese thrown at him by an audience member. Based on the people seated near me at the Fox show a couple years ago, I have zero confidence that the behavior of the audience at this show will be any better than the behavior of the fans at a typical Chastain concert. Hippycat
Change the thread title to North American dates - they added Toronto June 30, at Massey Hall. Fingers crossed for Detroit and/or London, Ont might still be added.
viatroy
and I'll definitely go to the Pines Theater again (and hope for more humane weather) -- whatta great venue. All praise the tour bookers!
