magusmachine
I just saw this on television. It started out with the guitar part, and I was like "Hmm.. that sounds REALLY familiar, but kinda different"... it was a Volkswagen and had a redneck sitting in the VW messing around with it a bit. I got really excited though for some weird reason. >_> I was trying to find a video of it on vw.com but I couldn't.

Reni
wait - some of you are getting upset and a tad uppity about them being in a Starbucks music rack, but get excited about them being in commercials? What's the difference?

What's the difference? It's less cool to hate the giant corporation called "Volkswagen" than it is to hate the giant corporation called "Starbucks."

honestgabe
Thats pretty cool. Anyway, are we sure that this song is going to be on the next record? Did Jeff state this any where?
NationalDust
I like the song a lot... so if I happen to be at Starbucks and they play it, cool... if I happen to be watching TV and I hear it.. cool...
thermocaster
It's less cool to hate the giant corporation called "Volkswagen" than it is to hate the giant corporation called "Starbucks."Â Exactly. Hey, even Stereolab sold a song to VW. And if it's good enough for a bunch of French socialists, it's good enough for me.

Guest ChooChooCharlie
I don't think this is the first time a Wilco song appears in a commercial. Isn't Hummingbird used for some of the US Cellular ads (Joan Cusack does the endorsements)?Maybe some of the Chicagoans can confirm this as I'm not sure if US Cellular is advertised all over the country..
