boywiththorninside
The tracks that were initially streamed - Tweedy, Cat Power, Jim James - are the standouts for me. There are some others I like, but also a lot I'll never listen to again.
Serak_the_Preparer
anyone have this as an mp3 yet? Both the Sufjan and Tweedy mp3s can be found here Minneapolisfuckingrocks
Smokestack Joe
i just bought this today at Atomic Records in Milwaukee, they had the vinyl but i passed, i was drooling though, 8 sides! nice liner notes package with many photos of the actors that portray Dylan, can't wait to listen especially Cline/Verlaine pairing. Cline is all over this record as in Calexico.
Gobias Industries
Cline is all over this record like A1 on steak.
imsjry
The major disappointments for me are the Jim Jones and Iron and Wine tracks.
Kalle
I'd be let down if I had started the Peoples Temple.

mastershake
my stupid town didn't get any shipments of this album in. i went to best buy, circuit city, and walmart.
HighFives
I thought the vinyl was suppose to be 6 sides. oh well not like it matters 8'll sound better. how much was it?
MattZ
I am finally listening to this album proper. I am on track two, and I coud do without the Eddie Vedder tune, but I am totally digging the title track. Sonic Youth nails the feel of the tune. Love it.
Smokestack Joe
i saw the vinyl for $33 something i believe.
Gobias Industries
The major disappointments for me are the Jim Jones and Iron and Wine tracks. Seriously? I felt like those are two of the best tracks on it.
mastershake
this is bullshit. no best buy in houston has this soundtrack. i guess they want me to illegally download it.
HighFives
this is bullshit. no best buy in houston has this soundtrack. i guess they want me to illegally download it. you should just do that any way
El Picador
i saw the vinyl for $33 something i believe. I picked it up on vinyl at Amoeba for $20.98. Unfortunately, it's missing disk 3. Kinda pissed but they said they'd credit me within 7 days but I live 40 miles away and won't be up there again until after the 7 days. I'm still enjoying what I have of it. Beltmann
this is bullshit. no best buy in houston has this soundtrack. i guess they want me to illegally download it.Our local shop had none on the "new release" shelf, but had one copy stuffed in with the other Dylan. Now they have none at all.
tapmyglass
Our local shop had none on the "new release" shelf, but had one copy stuffed in with the other Dylan. imsjry
Seriously? I felt like those are two of the best tracks on it. James sings that track like a funeral durge (like most MMJ stuff). He misses the humor that Dylan had in his voice on that tune. The Iron and Wine sounds like it was pulled from the new disc of his. I was hoping for the quiet acoustic thing. TheMaker
Humour on the original "Goin' to Acapulco?" Sure, I'll disagree. That song sounds like a lot of things to me - longing, regret, fantasy, desire, etc. - but it sure as hell doesn't sound like a smirk.
auctioneer69
Just noticed that the I-Tunes version of this has three extra songs on the album only (Calexico, Joe Henry and Lee Ronaldo and Stephen Malkmus). Getting very fucked off with this trend. I will buy some stuff online but still believe in supporting my local record shop and morover really don't like the quality of digital downloads. LouieB
We are consumers.....we get fucked no matter what we do... I made a foray out to Laurie's yesterday but forgot to check if this has been released in hard copy already.... LouieB
MattZ
So, am I the only clown that broke down and bought tix to this tonight? 100% of the profits go to charity... More to follow tomorrow, I suppose. http://imnotthere.info/?gclid=CNDNyo_yyo8CFQ9zUAod6TH70A
