DAngerer09
wow. Whenever I imagine him playing live, I just thought it would be him strumming an acoustic the whole time. What kinds of other stuff does he do live?

a.miller
This album is so so magical. I keep listening to it more and more. It's like it descended from the heavens or something. The texture of his music are just triumphant.
Calexico
Any of you Brits see him on Later on Friday night? Sounded great, pity about only getting one song though.
Oil Can Boyd
There were also some live clips on Pitchfork TV.

Wilco LP #7
saw him in Iowa City. Was great in spite of crappy venue and sound. (some crappy room in student union). voice is magestic, loses nothing from its studio greatness. highly recommended.
lamradio
Performing live on some British show. So much emotion in his voice. Great performance Also, I'm not the biggest supporter of pitchfork because I think some of their reviews have been WAY off, but they sure did give "For Emma, Forever ago" a great review http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/reco...mma-forever-ago

H.Stone
Thanks for the link, Kyle. I'm looking forward to seeing them a couple of times in August and seeing how their show has changed since winter.

It doesn't seem your thing.
lamradio
Hardwood Floor, I doubt you would like this, judging by what you do like. It doesn't seem your thing. Yeah I have found that people either absolutely LOVE Bon Iver (like myself) or hate him. I'm not even sure exactly why I love his music so much. I guess because it has that sort of old folk/blues feel to it, but also combined with a more modern indie sound. Plus I love the haunting, tenor vocals. Like thankyoufornotthingatall said; it has hit me on levels i didn't know existed...
M. (hristine
I just hope this isn't a fluke, of the moment kind of album. For Emma was the grace that helped me through last winter. I hope Mr. Vernon has more of that grace to share.
solace
he does
lamradio
he does Thats good to hear. I know his solo stuff is sort of a side project from another band (can't remember the name) but I hope he sticks with this permanently.
quarter23cd
I downloaded this from emusic last week on a whim because I've heard the name thrown about here a lot. There is a haunting quality to it that makes me want to like it, but I'm not too into the whispery folk thing and it starts to get a bit tedious to me. Maybe I need to find a lyric sheet or something because I'm only half-hearing what he's saying and I think that's part of why I zone out on it.

H.Stone
I would love to see Justin et al at First Avenue--I hope you can make it, Solace. How was the Walker show? I'm seeing them open for Wilco in Indy and then headlining the Pabst on 8/14--can't wait for the Pabst especially.
