Got exciting getting towards the end because I was hoping some crazy Nels freak out on national tv (like the old live versions of the track) but instead it dwindled down to the album ending. Good performance, my favorite of all the late night shows they've hit on this album cycle (i'm sorry, but i'm in the minority that finds You and I to be dreadful on the album and was even worse on Letterman, hearing how well Feist and Jeff sang together on the Oar songs made me even angrier)

Thanks Randall! :thumbup

I'm starting my Writing About Music class this semester with a unit of analyzing lyrics to help them sharpen their critical reading skills. They're choosing most of the lyrics, but I chose the ones for our first discussion to give them time to prepare. One Wing was one of the songs I chose, and they did a great job with it. One girl managed to find most of the stages of grieving in it, which was a really impressive reading of it. We ran out of time, but I'll probably show them this clip in class on Monday.

I hate to say it but this looks like a band going through the motions.

Woooo. The big question is - what is Craig Ferguson doing hosting late night US TV?

Last I knew was this:-

- which in it's fly on the wall documentary style (though that peters out near the end) pre-empted The Office.

Also, in Scots now mostly in the US, this was a funny little series sadly missed:-

Great rendition, yes, but when are Pat, Glenn and JT gonna give up the beards and go 'stache?

With all the scruff, denim and flannel, it was like channeling the Eagles.

Would mustaches make them look like porn stars from the 70s? 'Specially John.

Finally got a chance to see this. Nicely done. I'm glad they've moved on to "One Wing" from "You Never Know" or anything else they might have been playing on the late-night talk shows.
